Keyboard shortcuts were huge for a while there, but as technology began to move towards faster systems and equipment we started to forget "the old ways." Some of the shortcuts stayed with us; shortcuts for copy, paste, and undo get used on a daily basis around here. Other keyboard shortcuts didn't age so well. Some, like the shortcut for restarting a Windows 7 computer, seemed to forget the "short" part. If you're wondering, it's windows button, up arrow, right arrow, enter. Yes, we're aware that might as well have been a Mortal Kombat cheat code. As tech got better, many the humble keyboard shortcuts went the way of the dodo and just disappeared. Others, though, are still incredibly useful but forgotten - they're still there sitting in front of us waiting to be remembered.

Martin Bryant is a tech consultant and educator; he's been working with computers for over two decades. He recently stumbled upon one of those oft-forgotten but super useful keyboard shortcuts and couldn't wait to tell Twitter all about it. If you're at a desktop or laptop reading this right now, go ahead and hit your space bar. We'll wait for you to get back.

How cool was that?! If it worked, it should have scrolled the page down for you. Reading through articles (and your long-winded homegirl's Facebook rants) has never been easier! The shortcut has been sitting there, just being a thing for years and not a lot of people know about it.

Martin didn't.

A decent number of others didn't know either.

But wait... there's more!

People started sharing their favorite (or least favorite?) little shortcuts, and now we're going to be mashing buttons all day.

Do you have any favorite shortcuts to share? Let us know!

Not every relationship is meant to last forever.

Some people don't know how to be friends.

They are awfully good at pretending though.

Be vigilant of the signs and red flags.

Toxic people are crafty.

And once you're free, never look back.

There's nothing quite like the drama that can arise at a wedding or in the days leading up to it.

But the moment people don't necessarily think about is the moment when the audience can choose to object if they so choose, and surprisingly, some people take advantage of this opportunity. It often doesn't go well.

Financially speaking, most of us could benefit greatly from having extra money each month.

But where someone might assume that the extra money would just be wasted, most people would apply these funds to very practical purposes and expenditures.

When love is on the rocks and there's no salvaging a relationship, it's better for a couple to call it splits.

Sometimes the reason for a breakup is obvious.

Other times, it's more complicated.

But the people involved going their separate ways is better than staying in an unhealthy relationship.
