Newly-Unveiled Wax Sculpture Of Ariana Grande Has Fans Understandably Scratching Their Heads
Ariana Grande is one of—if not the—biggest pop stars in the world.
It was only a matter of time before she got a wax copycat.
Madame Tussauds in London has revealed its newest addition to their museum. Their statue of Grande is a little, uh, divisive to say the least.
However, in my opinion, it's a lot closer than some of their other attempts.
However, you can definitely tell it's somewhat off. The nose isn't quite right.
Lips aren't all there. It has all the hallmarks of a wax statue.
This did not sit right with fans of the pop star. Twitter was flooded with messages of people who had to let the world know that this wax statue did not look like their Ari.
Which, in fairness to them, why do we keep letting these wax museums get away with sub-par doppelgangers?
Ariana has been on a rollercoaster of a year. Her album Thank U, Next debuted as an absolute powerhouse, with 11 songs breaking into the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
She's also been very open with her own struggles with mental health, at one point, quoting actor Jim Carrey. Carrey returned the kindness with his own message of support.
But what does Ari herself think about the statue?
I'm sure many of us would "just wanna talk" too.
Sometimes you get some really bad wax figures. It just happens.
Sometimes you get Ed Sheeran's statue, which lends credence to my theory that Sheeran is, in fact, a wax statue brought to life by a curse.
It's all in the luck of the draw. This hasn't stopped people from trying to figure out why Grande's statue looks the way it does.
The most common explanation was "Emery Bingham."
We really shouldn't have been surprised at the London location's attempt at a wax figure of Ariana Grande. In 2017, the Las Vegas location unveiled their version of the singer and it was received just as poorly.
At the very least we can say it looks like the new figure is an improvement over the older one.
If you want to see it, the new statue is on display at the Madame Tussaud's in London for five weeks. I'm sure you'll be booking your ticket first chance you get.
Many people have interesting childhood anecdotes, but Ariana Grande's may top them all.
Grande, whose album Sweetener recently earned her her first Grammy for best pop vocal album, has been a Florida Panthers hockey fan her whole life.
In 1998, a then-five year old Ariana was the first person to be hit with a hockey puck at the Florida Panthers' new stadium.
She would then go on to be struck by a puck during a game again!

After seven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next," a follow-up to her hit album Sweetener, has finally fallen to number two while Halsey's "Without Me" has risen to the #1 spot.
Grande's reaction to Halsey usurping her throne was anything but competitive, however.
Though Halsey had a #1 billboard hit alongside The Chainsmokers for her performance in "Closer," this is the first time she's topped the charts as a solo act.
Halsey posted about the experience on Instagram, saying:
"#1 on billboard. wow. very overwhelmed and confused and so very very very VERY happy. This song came from a very lonely place, and brought me to one of the most loved and supported moments of my lifetime."
Halsey continued:
"This achievement is completely beyond my means of comprehending right now so I'll get back to you guys when I find more eloquent and compelling things to say. Right now my brain is a washing machine of emotion. On a very high cycle. I love you very much."
Instead of throwing shade, Grande took to social media to show her support for Halsey.
On her Instagram, she wrote:
"F*ck it up @iamhalsey. To girls on top all 2019."
Halsey responded to Arianna's message:
"Luv u bb. Dynamic women who are headstrong + compassionate all 2019."
Twitter loved the supportive relationship between the two pop stars!

You're not just imagining the girl power dominating the Billboard music charts.
When Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" rose to number three during Christmas (as it does annually), it marked the first time since 2014 that the three most popular songs were performed by female artists.

Both Ariana and Halsey's songs happen to be about famous break-ups as well.

Halsey - Without Me youtu.be
In October 2018, during an interview with Zach Sang, Halsey spoke of how the song was meant to address her toxic breakup with rapper G-Eazy:
"I'll tell you what. It happened when I looked at my relationships all around me."
"All of them – cause this song is not just about one — and it made me sit down and go 'I feel like I've given so much to relationships with people in my life and I'm getting nothing back'… and so I cut a lot of people out of my life."
"Some temporarily, obviously, because G and I are back together. And some permanently."

In our modern day and age, Ariana and Halsey know there's no need to be competitive with each other when both ultra-talented women created great songs that the whole world's into.

Ariana Grande Just Shared A Deleted Scene and Bloopers From Her Video 'Thank U, Next'
Ariana Grande's video for Thank U, Next is easily one of the most entertaining movie mash-up videos people have seen in years. It's got tons of cameos, it's got drama, it's got the Mean Girls dance number - the video is really a treat for anyone who loves classic "teen angst" films. It was already great, but folks it just got better.
Ariana just casually gifted fans with a drop on YouTube. It's a 4 minute long video that opens with a deleted scene and continues with more material that ended up on the cutting room floor as well as a few bloopers.
Check it out.
Ariana Grande - thank u, next (bloopers + deleted scene) youtu.be
Ari hadn't dropped any hints to her fans that it was going to be released, and she was even more nonchalant when she shared the video with Twitter. She didn't even bother with words - just a single little heart.
But really, the heart said everything we needed to know, didn't it?

Coachella is one of the world's most famous music festivals, falling just behind Tomorrowland in a 2015 ranking by online ticket seller Viagogo. This year's lineup of artists was just announced on Twitter, and the hype is real.
Headliners for 2019 are Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande. Ariana is the youngest female artist to headline the festival, and one of only four women to hold that position!
BLACKPINK, an all-girl South Korean group founded in 2016, is also among the artists performing this year. This will be their U.S. debut performance. They are the highest charting female K-Pop group on the Billboard Hot 100, with their song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" at number 55. The song also set a record for the most-viewed Korean music video in 24 hours on YouTube when it was released.
BLACKPINK's fanbase took to twitter to express their love for the group and excitement at their accomplishment:

There were a few comments about Coachella's choice of fonts for the poster, which makes the names of artists further down the ticket (printed in smaller letters) exceedingly difficult to read.
