After a wild night out, you unfortunately have to deal with the repercussions. Those being the dreaded hangover. Everyone has their own technique to deal with hangovers (mine is orange juice and lots of bread), and some of them can be pretty out there. Here are some of the best ones.

u/just_a_firenope asked: What is your go to hangover cure?

Always effective.

Water. Before bed and first thing waking up.

If I plan on drinking I'll put a couple bottles on my nightstand.

A ludicrous amount of water during drinking for me. Like I force myself to drink a ton of water, like 2-3 cups per drink or more. I pee a ton but even if I'm super drunk I'll wake up just fine in the morning with little to no hangover. Water and staying hydrated is the key.

Solid tip.

Pedialyte is my ultimate savior. Much better than Gatorade!

RJacobson11

Put it in the freezer so it's like a slushy. Tastes much better.

Nothing cures a hangover better than more alcohol.

A big breakfast and a Bloody Mary.

BjOaNmEzR

Bloody Mary, full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails.

Arios1923

Yum!

Big steaming bowl of Pho. Warm broth settles my stomach and it goes down so well.

Demonico101

Breakfast of Champions.

Weed, Gatorade, and a breakfast/lunch that's horribly unhealthy (Mickey D's, 5 Guys, Dominos, etc).

Just had a big basket of Long John Silver's for lunch. Can confirm, feeling much more functional now.

Love a good egg.

Eggs and water. Too much alcohol depletes the amino acid (glutathione) involved in the preferred metabolic pathway, causing it to use another pathway and build up acetaldehyde, which is responsible for the hangover. Eggs are high in cysteine, which is a precursor to glutathione, and helps get your body get back on track.

khalov61

Sounds about right.

A nice greasy slice of pizza before bed and a baconeggandcheesesaltpepperketchuponaneverythingbagel in the morning with a large ice coffee.

dizzycraig

Found the Jersey person.

Finally, a sensible one.

Giphy

Eat some pickles and drink some of the pickle water, it has more electrolytes then Gatorade.

Uberwolf18

Alternatively, only do picklebacks the whole night.

Also good advice.

  1. Sleep
  2. Get out of bed
  3. Try not to die
  4. Get something to eat and a gallon of water
  5. Don't die and sleep more

Or my favorite one: just don't drink.

ObnoxiouslyFortunate

I accidentally discovered that black tea works for me. Straight black tea, no sugar, nothing. But the catch is to drink it before going to sleep, on the night I was consuming alcohol.

Next morning I wake up tired, but very little hung-over.

Probably coffee would work equally well, not sure.

There's nothing quite like a good urban legend to put a chill into your bones. One of my favorites? The story about the babysitter and the man upstairs. You know the one. The creepy phone calls begin. The words, "Have you checked on the children?" Unnerving stuff. It's that story that gave us movies like Black Christmas and When a Stranger Calls. I still get a chill up my spine when I think about that story.

It's not just murderers either. Monsters, spirits... Urban legends––and folklore as a whole––have for time immemorial been a part of our consciousness.

After Redditor BeardedDragonzRMine asked the online community, "What monster/urban legend is in your town?" people shared their stories.

You can pry my Pokemon games out of my cold, dead hands. Can't help it, guys––I love them. I love the games. I even check out the show from time to time (if you've never watched Twilight Wings, you're missing out). I'm not a competitive player, by the way. I don't really care about training an unstoppable team. I just enjoy a fun and engaging story. (I feel the same way about the Final Fantasy games. Perhaps I should have grown out of it, according to the people out there who can't let other people just enjoy things.

After Redditor Rare_Dragonfruit1885 asked the online community, "Be honest, what's something you should have grown out of by this age, but haven't?" people told us what things and habits they still love.

There's a show on Hulu called A Teacher that made me think about the repercussions of a teacher having an illicit affair with a seventeen-year-old student.

I'm all for people wearing their hearts on their sleeves and crying from watching emotional movies.
