J-Lo Had The Classiest Response To Haters Who Thought Her And Shakira's Super Bowl Performance Was Too Sexy
After the controversy behind this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show, Jennifer Lopez has finally spoken out about the response.
She responded to the criticism during an interview with Variety at the Spirit Awards, to which she had a powerful response.
While the performance was a clear hit amongst most fans, some viewers felt the performance was "too sexy" and even "pornographic."
J-Lo, of course, responded with class.

Lopez was able to laugh about the criticism before delivering her answer.
"That's honestly silliness," said J-Lo.
"Both of us are really respectful performers who are moms, who have kids, who are very conscious of what we do."
"We did a show that I believe was a celebration of women and our Latino culture that was really well received. And that small faction of people who want to be negative about it, it's not something I can even let in because it was such an amazing night, and so many beautiful things came out of it."
"The message of standing up for yourself, being a woman – that's what I want to pass on to little girls. You're strong, you're beautiful — everything about you, be proud of it."

"I'm very proud of the performance that night," she said.
Fiona The Hippo Predicted The Kansas City Chiefs To Win This Year's Super Bowl–By Vomiting On Them
Fiona, the adorable 3-year-old Nile hippopotamus from the Cincinnati Zoo, was tasked with predicting the winning team at the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, zookeepers tried to make her choose between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers just after she had her lunch.
On Thursday afternoon, Fiona was placed in front of two "enrichment items," each marked with the respective team logos.
The animal handlers waited to see which one the 1,200-pound hippo would press with her snout to indicate the champions.
The hippo paused, slowly unhinged her jaw and vomited her freshly chomped veggies on top of the Kansas City logo.

Only Fiona knows.
But based on the upchuck, 49ers fans took liberties and bet in favor of their team.

Fiona is known to have a 50% accuracy rate with her predictions so far.
In 2018, she prophesied a Philadelphia Eagles victory against the New England Patriots, but inaccurately bet against the Pats and went with the Los Angeles Rams, in 2019.
Super Bowl LIV will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2020 and televised by FOX.
Kickoff starts at 6:30 p.m. EST at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Whatever Fiona was thinking, it certainly did not smell like team spirit.
The Super Bowl's Biggest Winner Wasn't The Patriots—It Was Actually SpongeBob Squarepants
Super Bowl 53 has come and gone. People agree that the game was boring, the commercials uninspired and the halftime show beyond disappointing.
That last one was not what people expected going into the show.
While the internet may be divided on the idea of Maroon 5 performing, something else was meant to elevate the show to a new height.
Something absorbent and yellow and porous is he.
There's even an underwater tropical fruit domicile involved...
SpongeBob SquarePants "Sweet Victory" Performance 🎤 Band Geeks | Nick www.youtube.com
If you're unfamiliar, the above video is the song "Sweet Victory" performed by Spongebob Squarepants and the other denizens of Bikini Bottom for the episode "Band Geeks."
It is an original song for the show, performed at the halftime of a human sporting event, similar to the big game.
After the passing of Spongebob creator Stephen Hillenburg, fans shared their appreciation for the long lived cartoon show. They talked about the highly meme-able series and shared their favorite moments. At the top of the list was "Sweet Victory".
Soon after, fans put together a petition to have the Super Bowl halftime show play the clip in honor of Hillenburg.
The song is only two minutes. It should have been easy right?
The hype began to build.

Streaming of the song increased 566% after the game.

To give a comparison, Maroon 5 saw their streaming numbers increase about 35%, and Big Boi's "Kryptonite" got a 95.3% increase in play.
Travis Scott's single "Sicko Mode" only rose 1% but it was already a very popular song.
The halftime show was already a controversial move, after artists refused to perform in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.
Rihanna turned down the offer, citing Kaepernick. While Maroon 5 was eventually signed for the show, fans started a petition to get them to drop out.
Adam Levine refused to cancel his performance and got Scott and Big Boi to perform with him.
Maybe the show would have been viewed better if Levine got a yellow sponge too.
Or at least Gary.
Fans Know Just Who Should Play The 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show In Miami—And They've Started A Petition
Fans want to have a little more say in the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show.
Following Maroon 5's performance at the 2019 game, which has been panned nationwide by fans and critics alike, fans are unwilling to sit back and watch the NFL run themselves into the ground.
The Super Bowl suffered a lot of hiccups in finding its halftime show acts.
After the NFL's handling of Colin Kaepernick's protest during the National Anthem, more than five artists reportedly turned down the gig, including Rihanna, Cardi B and P!nk.
And Maroon 5's performance was...well, there's no other description for it:
a yikes festival.

So fans want to take control of the next halftime show to make sure we never go so wrong again.
The Super Bowl in 2020, which will be held in Miami, is already getting fans hyped up.
In fact, the Miami Super Bowl committee released a video for that very purpose.

And the main voice of the video is exactly who fans want at next year's halftime show.
A fan began a petition on Change.org to get Armando Christian Pérez, aka "Pitbull",
to perform next year.
"Our city is a melting pot of all different cultures, and Pitbull is the voice for that," said JP Gutierrez, who started the petition.
"I just think we deserve that."

Pitbull was born in Miami on Janury 15, 1981, to Cuban emigrant parents. He underwent a rather rough upbringing but now represents all of the art and culture of Miami proudly.
"I texted it to my group chat like, 'Hey, what if this happened?'" Gutierrez said, about creating the petition.
"I thought someone's probably going to have the idea to do this, so let me be the one to have the initiative to do it."
And his idea is definitely catching fire.
