One thing which has drawn people to live in the United States is the freedom to practice any religion you wish.

While sadly, this hasn't prevented acts of bigotry or violence against certain religions, it has spared people being forced to practice a certain religion, even if they disagree with its values or practices.

One's relationship with religion is very personal, as it only has value if it finds them and gives them the strength and comfort it is intended to.

This rarely happens when it is forced upon others, which often leads to people searching for another religion, or abandoning the practice of religion altogether.

Largely owing to the fact that they found no comfort or solace in it.

Most of us were raised in some sort of faith.

Church is a part of the communities of America, and church groups often have outings together, camps, bake sales, festivals--it can be a really inclusive experience, if you fit in.

But churches also have serious problems. Bigotry, indoctrination, taking large quantities of money from its parish--and sometimes those things can send people away.

Faith is an important part of life. Faith in oneself, in people and in God gives you hope that we're not all alone and that we're more capable than we initially give ourselves credit for. For many people the main source of faith is housed in the church.

And for some faith has been hijacked by predators and those who only know how to espouse judgement. This has led to a lot of issues with communities and their connections to religion.

Religion is a tricky subject. Faith is an even trickier landmine. It's not a must that you believe in a God or a higher power. There are plenty of people who don't believe. They feel life is what it is and we all have just take life as our own without a guiding hand. And it's fascinating to wonder how they came to that conclusion.
