*"Could you repeat that?" "Pardon?" Those are just a few of the responses that are kneejerk when we're faced with the oddest questions imaginable. Sometimes we're all left in disbelief at the things that fall out of people's mouths. We all might think we're being original or interesting at the initial thought but most of the time we're just being weird. A first impression is important so don't waste it with an introductory question that will leave your audience baffled. *

Redditor _\kutaponk _wanted to know.... ****What are some good weird questions to ask someone to get to know them better? **_Know what NOT to say people. _**

THE TASTER IS DRY. NO?

"How much sawdust can you put into a Rice KrispyTreat before people start to notice?"

My new personal favorite:"On an average day, how many pigeons do you think you could reasonably carry?" It's so far out of left field, it throws people off and gets them thinking. They also think you're weird for asking it, but it's worth it for the random answers you'll get.

TALK TO ME....

[rebelmouse-image 18357345 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

"What are you proud of, but never have an excuse to talk about?" That gets people to talk about things they've done and just want to bring up, so you see what's important to them.

WHAT TEMPERATURE WOULD YOU LIKE THAT COOKED?

[rebelmouse-image 18357346 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

Would you cannibalize someone to survive on a stranded island knowing that there's a 25% chance of rescue/survival if you eat the corpse but a guaranteed death if you don't eat it?

What is something that is important to you that you never really talk about?

Where do you want to be in an hour?

What is the last thing on your mind?

What is something I wouldn't believe about you?

What way do you have your toilet paper? Why?

If you had to pick between being the worlds best tether ball player and finding $100 on the street, what would you spend the money on?

SERIOUSLY?

[rebelmouse-image 18979520 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

"What conspiracy theories do you believe?"

SOMETHING'S ROTTEN...

[rebelmouse-image 18979521 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

I like to ask "What's your favorite smell?" you learn a lot about a person.

I'D RATHER CHINESE....

When I was managing and interviewing people for a higher end pizza restaurant we had to ask every person

"if you were a pizza topping what would you be and why?"

Got some crazy responses!!!

ONCE AGAIN...

[rebelmouse-image 18979523 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

"If you could pick a day to relive over and over, Groundhog Day style, what day would it be and why?"

I HATED SOPHIE'S CHOICE!

[rebelmouse-image 18979524 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

"You come across an old lady and baby drowning in a pool. You can only save one. Who do you save and why?"

Had someone ask me this at a semi-professional event as an ice breaker haha. Much better than the usual questions.

Important Lessons People Have Learned The Hard Way

Reddit user IndianaC0NES asked: 'What’s an important lesson you learned the hard way?'

We've all had to learn something the hard way or at a super inconvenient time.

But because we're always learning new things, of course there will have to be some things that we learn later, rather than sooner, no matter the consequences of learning it too late.

From a young age, we've all had it drilled into us the importance of finding a good job that we can work at for the rest of our lives.

But sometimes those jobs don't work out for one reason or another, and sometimes all of the fault gets pinned on the employee.

Emotions are high at weddings, with the bride and groom going through various stages of anxiety and excitement.

During those stages, seeing how well a newly wedding couple interacts with each other as well as with other family members and friends under pressure can indicate how well they work together as a team.

If professional wedding photographers had years of experience capturing one of the most monumental milestones for couples, they would be able to identify if a couple can make it for the long haul.

We've all found ourselves in a position where we simply couldn't contain ourselves and found ourselves putting someone in their place owing to something they said which was either wrong or just plain stupid.

When it comes to the latter category, though, it's often worth taking a minute to wonder if fighting that particular battle is even worth it.

As many people who are about to shoot down their current conversation partner might take a minute and really examine the person they're talking with before remembering the old saying: "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Sadly, some people remember this conversation too late, and find themselves falling down a conversational rabbit hole from which they may never escape.
