Dogs are truly too cute for this world. Twitter user @Jaquelineestey shared a video of her dog patiently waiting in front of the washing machine for her favorite stuffed bear to come out. People thought the video was so cute, they simply had to post their own and, before long, Twitter had collected an entire series of pictures and videos featuring canines and their beloved toys.

Here's the original video that inspired it all:

This dog just wants its best friend back!

Twitter users everywhere began sharing their pups' favorite toys!

Dogs may be man's best friend, but stuffed toys may be dog's best friend.

The cuteness factor on these images is almost too much.

All dogs, big and small, had a favorite toy they liked carrying around.

Many toys doubled as sleeping aids or pillows.

At some point, however, every toy must be cleaned.

And dogs aren't the only animals with stuffed pals!

Twitter couldn't handle the adorableness of the thread.

And, for anyone who's wondering, Habs eventually got her bear back from the wash and all is well!

There's no shortage of excellent horror fiction out there. Recently I read The Terror by Dan Simmons and can't remember the last time I felt that claustrophobic and nervous. But I am also a fan of quite a few classics. Are there any other horror books that capture grief as effectively as Stephen King's Pet Sematary? What other book evokes folk horror as beautifully as Thomas Tryon's Harvest Home? Let's not forget this wonderful classic: The Haunting of Hill House. I could rave about that one (and Shirley Jackson) for days. All of these books left their mark on me and yes, I'd include them on a list (if I were to make one) of some of the scariest books I've read.

People had their own opinions to share––and books to recommend––after Redditor Tylerisdumber asked the online community,

"What's the scariest book you've ever read?"
