Coachella is one of the world's most famous music festivals, falling just behind Tomorrowland in a 2015 ranking by online ticket seller Viagogo. This year's lineup of artists was just announced on Twitter, and the hype is real.
Headliners for 2019 are Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande. Ariana is the youngest female artist to headline the festival, and one of only four women to hold that position!
BLACKPINK, an all-girl South Korean group founded in 2016, is also among the artists performing this year. This will be their U.S. debut performance. They are the highest charting female K-Pop group on the Billboard Hot 100, with their song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" at number 55. The song also set a record for the most-viewed Korean music video in 24 hours on YouTube when it was released.
BLACKPINK's fanbase took to twitter to express their love for the group and excitement at their accomplishment:

There were a few comments about Coachella's choice of fonts for the poster, which makes the names of artists further down the ticket (printed in smaller letters) exceedingly difficult to read.
“No, seriously i AM on the line up." ~ New Artist
“Oh....would you look at that." ~ Somewhat Supportive Friend #CoachellaCanBeTheShadiestWithFonts🤣😂 pic.twitter.com/L4WX0VCtqd

There's a pretty varied lineup and there should be music for everyone to enjoy this year. Too bad nobody can read the names on the flier, though!
