People Reveal The Rudest Ways Someone Broke Up With Them
[rebelmouse-image 18346555 is_animated_gif=It's never the right time to say goodbye. But some people really just take it to the extreme. In some cases, it's so over the top that it sticks out in your memory as a giant question mark. Why were you so rude to me, person?
elephantqueen14 asked Reddit:
What is the rudest way someone has ended a relationship with you?
These are some of the craziest stories Reddit had.
Yes, You Did
[rebelmouse-image 18346755 is_animated_gif=Changed his status to being in a relationship with another person. When I called him and asked him about it, he asked, "I didn't lead you on did I?". Rude and lame.
I Could Have Another You In A Minute
[rebelmouse-image 18355334 is_animated_gif=The landlord called me to verify I would take over the lease of our house, since the lease was in my boyfriend his name. I told him I didn't know what he meant by that. He then proceeded to show me texts my boyfriend had sent him in which he said he was engaged and just moved to another city and that I would take over his lease. I had just moved in two weeks prior, quit my job and terminated my own lease.
To say I was pissed off is an understatement. Not only cheat on me, but actually letting your landlord break up with me? What the actual f-ck.
So the next day I packed up the whole house including everything he owns and I put it in storage. Only time I heard from him was when he called me after a couple of days furiously asking me where all his stuff was. I just laughed and hung up. Go f-ck yourself. Or your wife. The hell I care
Hints
[rebelmouse-image 18346862 is_animated_gif=She just kept sleeping with different people until I left.
Yikes
[rebelmouse-image 18355335 is_animated_gif=Her friend answered the phone, I said "Is Emma there?"
Friend: "No she's with her boyfriend at the moment."
Me: "Oh."
What Goes Around
[rebelmouse-image 18349498 is_animated_gif=Someone I know broke up with his gf by just ignoring her until she got the hint. He did it because she was "too fat" and he had just been with her because he was lonely.
He had another one later. He was happy with her until he met her family. Her mother and grandmother were "too fat", so he judged that she would probably get fat as well, so... He ignored her until she got the hint.
He had a third one. He was very happy with her, she was pretty and exactly what he imagined. She wanted him to go to her place sometimes but he was lazy and just wanted her to always go to him (he lived with his parents). She ignored him until he got the hint.
Too Many Lies
[rebelmouse-image 18355049 is_animated_gif=When his other secret girlfriend tagged him in a picture of the ultrasound.
Backwards Logic
[rebelmouse-image 18355047 is_animated_gif=I had a boyfriend intentionally cheat on me because he wanted me to break up with him instead of doing it himself.
He had sex with a coworker because it was easier than telling me he wasn't interested anymore.
It's Been Awhile
[rebelmouse-image 18352813 is_animated_gif=My boyfriend of 1.5 years ghosted me. Just suddenly dropped off the face of the planet and wouldn't respond to my texts, calls, whatever. I knew he was okay because I saw him on Facebook with his new girlfriend.
The best part was when he randomly emailed me, months later, saying he "just wasn't feeling it anymore" with me. No sh-t, dude.
Worst Possible Time
[rebelmouse-image 18352808 is_animated_gif=By changing his relationship status on Facebook. It was my 21st birthday. 10 years later and it still pisses me off that I wasted so much time on that a**hole.
Truly An Evil Gesture
[rebelmouse-image 18355336 is_animated_gif=I was in the hospital, 3 hours away from home. After a month I was released and my mom and aunt came to pick me up. On the rode home, I used my mom's phone to text my boyfriend that I was coming home and he could come over. His response- I'm sorry. I can't take the stress of caring for you after your incident.
I was shot in the face by a 9 mm Ruger. He never "took care" of me before the incident. He quit his job and lived with me. I took care of him. What had actually happen is he came to the hospital once while I was still in the coma. My face was swollen and I was unrecognizable. He never came back afterwards. He assumed I would stay like that and didn't want to date an ugly person.
Just Be Honest
[rebelmouse-image 18346830 is_animated_gif=Having the guy she was cheating on me with confess their affair and tell me it was over between us.
I feel like I came out on top though. Shortly after this they got pregnant and she had to drop out of college for engineering. I transferred to a different university and had some of the best times of my life while finishing my degree. I don't really believe in karma, but it was kind of odd how quickly her life took a turn after that scummy move.
Right Before The Test
[rebelmouse-image 18349166 is_animated_gif=My last college gf broke up with me during finals week via email. She knew I had an exam that afternoon. I have no idea if it was intentional or not, but she sent the email about 20 minutes before the exam started. By a cruel twist of fate, I opened the email just as I was about to start walking to my class to take said exam, basically telling me she is leaving me for someone else.
It was not a very good day.
Such A To-Do
[rebelmouse-image 18348515 is_animated_gif=Sends e-mail to me saying that I need to think long-term.
Two weeks later, moves to town (we had been dating long distance).
The day she arrives, I meet her at her new place, she says she's too tired to move anything in or do anything, and wants to go to bed, and sends me home alone.
Won't respond to texts, won't hang out with me, won't do anything over the next few days.
After a few weeks I ask her what happened, and for an explanation. Her response, "I feel like I've already told you."
Ouch.
Sweet Revenge
[rebelmouse-image 18348507 is_animated_gif=His other girlfriend walked in on us cuddling in his bed naked watching a movie. I didnt know abot her, she didnt know about me. The fact that he chased her out of the house to explian "it's not what it looks like" after we had literally just had sex the hour before was all the confirmation I needed that I was the lesser option.
She found me on fb and her and I became friends. She had dated him a YEAR and I had been seeing him a month. We both cut ties.
No Need To Fake It
[rebelmouse-image 18355338 is_animated_gif=Our relationship was already strained and we were living together at the time. She was complaining for days that her arm was sore and I slept on the couch in the living room to give her as much room as possible to stretch out on the bed in the bedroom. Woke up one night and heard her talking on the phone. She was talking freely to her new boyfriend on the phone and faked her arm injury to just get me out of the room. We hadn't even formally broken up yet, and I hadn't moved my stuff out yet.
Snapchat And Meth: A Tale Of Caution
[rebelmouse-image 18348511 is_animated_gif=A handwritten note sent over Snapchat that didn't have any real explanation. It was like vague-booking method of breakup. This was literally minutes before the end of school, when I would normally see her off to her bus. Maybe she wanted to hand me the note but couldn't bring herself to. Maybe she wanted to text it to me but didn't wanna get in trouble for using her phone in class. Maybe she didn't wanna put it off. Definitely didn't have it in her to tell me in person. Either way, the way it was done just seemed to be an insincere waste of both of our time. A few years later she did apologize about the way it was done, but she was high on meth, so there's that too.
Swindling
[rebelmouse-image 18345452 is_animated_gif=I had lunch with a coworker today and he was telling me about how his most recent relationship ended....
Apparently the other guy she was with was infertile so once she got pregnant, she said "thanks for your sperm donation" and ended it. He had to pay child support for the first two years until he got full custody.
7 Years
[rebelmouse-image 18355341 is_animated_gif=Drove over an hour in a snowstorm the day before Valentine's Day so we can spend the holiday together. I got her flowers, card, and a gift she gives me nothing and I think she might have a surprise for me so I say nothing. Well she did, the next morning on Valentine's Day she breaks up with me because as she says I'm too nice. She gives no other explanation then that even though I pressed her for one. That was after 7 years of dating.
Silence
[rebelmouse-image 18355343 is_animated_gif=Stopped responding to me.
I was driving 4 hours both ways once a week to see him. In fact, I'd been down to his school to see him the week we broke things off. Everything seemed fine. Then silence. After 5 days of not getting an answer via phone, text, or snap I was pissed and sent a final message saying I was done. He'd had issues with leaving his phone at the bar before so I wasn't completely upset at first. Just figured he'd get a new one or it was just taking him a while to find it. But almost a week? Never mind the fact that I was already suspicious he was seeing other people. Guess who ever he chose was closer and better than me. I don't talk to anyone that's more than 40 minutes away from me now.
Paris Holds The Key
[rebelmouse-image 18355344 is_animated_gif=He waited until we got home from a trip to Paris (he'd always wanted to go) and told me as we were unpacking that he didn't love me and didn't want to be with me.
He'd known for a while, but his therapist had told him to go on the trip to Paris first to "check if it changed things ".
Yea, sure she did honey. Sure she did.
Mind you, this was the same guy that insisted we go to couples therapy because I didn't want an open relationship and so there was OBVIOUSLY something wrong with me, so y'know.. the clues were there.
It's highly believed that it is important to learn history as a means to improve our future.
What is often overlooked is that what is taught in history class is going to be very different depending on where you went to school.
And this isn't just internationally, even different regions of the United states will likely have very different lessons on American history.
This frequently results in our learning fascinating, heartbreaking and horrifying historical facts which our middle or high school history teachers neglected to teach us.
Redditor Acherontia_atropos91 was curious to learn things people either wished they had learned, or believe they should have learned, in their school history class, leading them to ask:
What isn’t taught in history class but should be?
The Irish Troubles
"The troubles."
"Too many people in America do not understand why a wall straight through Ireland would be a BAD idea."
"I’m referring to the Brexit referendum and possible outcomes."
"If people were wondering why we were talking about walls through Ireland in the first place."- CLCVS.
Forgotten elements of World War II
"What the Japanese did to the Chinese during WW2."
"Unit 731."- CaptainMcBoogerJew.
"Japan gets off easy for their war crimes in WW2."
"They killed an estimated 16mil Chinese civilians and another 8mil soldiers"
"Also, Pol Pot."
"Didn't know who he was until I was like 25."
"Worst dictator all time (in terms of percentage of population he decimated)".
The truth about the American Revolution
"That the American Revolution was part of a wider cold war type of conflict with France."
"The American Revolution was basically the UK's equivalent of the US version of Vietnam."- vinsant7.
The Dark side of Swedish history.
"As a Swede, I'd like to know more of all the horrible sh*t my country has done throughout history."
"It's a damn shame we're trying to hide our history."
"For example, Swedes killed a metric sh*t ton of all Polish people when we were at our strongest."
"That's the kinda sh*t we don't get to learn."- mogwandayy.
Colonization
"Basically what Belgium did to the Congo."
"A lot of people are telling me that they are taught about this actually."
"I'm glad to hear it because I wasn't taught about this in the USA during my public school days (1995-2008)."- EconArch.
The truth about "heroes".
"While teaching about historical Heroes they should also tell students about the unspeakable things some of them did."
"Many famous figures throughout history who are pillars of morality actually did many terrible things." - User Deleted
Intolerance for Mental Illness
"The dark history of mental illness treatments."
"I think it's worth learning about."- 7dayexcerpt.
Slavic Mythology
"Slavic mythology in Slavic countries."
"Don't get me wrong, I love both Greek & Roman mythology and as a person from the Balkans both of those cultures are part of my country's history and had great influence over not only my region but the entirety of the continent & the western world but I wouldn't mind knowing more about Slavic mythology as well."- ShorsShezzarine.
The truth about the CIA
"How the CIA was made and all the shady things they did over the years."- ALargeChip.
There is a lot about the history of our world, not to mention our own country which shouldn't be ignored.
And it's from learning from our mistakes that we really improve our future.

So apparently we are in the endemic phase of this nonsense.
We have light at the end of the tunnel.
So what now?
Where do we go from here?
Normal seems like an outdated word.
How do we get back to normal though?
Is it even possible?
What are reaching back to?
Life pre-Covid.
Those were the days.
If only we could bring them back.
Redditor hetravelingsong wanted to discuss our new normal in this hopeful "endemic" phase. So they asked:
"What’s something random you miss about pre-COVID times?"
I miss people being sane. Though that maybe election cycle issues not COVID. We'll never know.

"Now, we have to reserve a day to go. And most of the time, the days are at 'full' capacity so we couldn't even reserve. I don't want to schedule to hang out at Disneyland for a couple hours for July. So yeah, I definitely miss the 'lets go eat at Disneyland tonight?' texts."

WTF?!?!
"How affordable everything was!"
Disastrous_Hour_6776
"Yep. Today I was bagging up my things at the grocery store and I heard the cashier say to the lady behind me 'thats $78.12.' She had -- 2 boxes of Kellogg's corn flakes, a carton of 12 eggs, milk, strawberries, raspberries, blue berries, a small cheese cake, English muffins, coffee, and a small whole frozen chicken that could maybe feed 3 people if the meat portioning was small."

CHANGES your DNA...
"Some of the people closest to me became very bitter and petty over the last 2 years. So many people have the 'crazy eyes' now."
__--__7
"So true and holidays with the family is like who has the biggest tinfoil hat building contest. How many jumps does your brain have to go through to think that the Covid vaccine CHANGES your DNA into the patented DNA so that the government now controls your body."
"So like vaccinated people now have a singular DNA set. I feel like I still have a chunk of my brain just broken off due to that comment alone. I was also told by same family member that I could never donate blood again due to the vaccine. I guess it is so my patented DNA doesn't affect people?? FYI my vaccinated butt just donated today fine and multiple other times after the vaccine."

What do you believe?
Is there a GOD in the sky?
Is he guiding us and helping us?
Life is really hard. Why is that is a big entity is up there loving us?
Atheists have taken a lot of heat for what feels like shunning GOD.
What if they've been right all along?
Maybe let's take a listen and see what they really think.
Redditor __Jacob______ wanted to hear from the people who don't really believe all that "God" stuff. They asked:
"Atheists, what do you believe in?"
I'm waffling between G-O-D and nothing. So please give me some education.

Peace Out
"More than 2 decades ago, a priest was giving a sermon in my church and he said 'our faith requires you to believe without question. Why call it faith if you have to ask questions?' I haven't returned to church. Not until my wedding day but you know what I mean."
asiangontear
Delusion
"When I was young I used to think that after death you would have access to a PC that you could see absolutely anything about your life. Stats, any question you had no matter how obscure, replays of moments, perspectives of others in relation to you. No matter what you wanted to know, if it was relatable to you, you could see it. I know it's silly, but as time goes on I just want it to be real, and I don't think I'd have any issue allowing myself to fall into that delusion."
eggwardpenisglands
I think nothing happens...
"Realistically, I think nothing happens. We literally experience nothing after death. Same thing that we experience before birth. We don't exist, so it's nothing. I think the tenant that we should follow while living is to try to be happy and healthy while minimizing the damage we do to each other."
"What I would LIKE to happen after death is whatever you believe in, exists. I think Christians should get to go to heaven if they truly believe in it, Hindus and Buddhists get reincarnated, and everyone else also gets to experience what they believe they will experience."
"'I would still experience Nothing. Maybe it's one of those things where at the moment of death their brain makes them experience what feels like an infinitely long moment in time where they experience their afterlife. I just think it would be neat for everybody."

"I feel this way about death. When I was 5, my grandfather died and my cousin simple said, he is dead, that means you are gone forever. Everything ends up dying, even plants and animals. I'm now in my 40's and still have this simplistic view of life and death. People think I'm ambivalent to life and death but it's just what it is."
thepigfish82
puppet-masters...
"I think a lot of religious people struggle with the fact that we are all just swirling units of chaos. There is no grand plan or great orchestrator. I think that’s why people who are prone to religion are also susceptible to things like Q anon and the Cabal and all that. They REALLY want to believe that there is some almighty puppet-master who determines all of humanity’s fate."
Lngtmelrker
“we’re living in a society!”
"Just be a kind and empathetic person not because you’re worried about some cosmic justice, but because it’s the right thing to do. If there is some being that created us there’s no way they actually care about believing in it or adhering to some rules from over 2000 years ago."
"Also a big thing for me is that I find the idea that you need religion or the Bible in order to have morals and ethics pretty dumb. It’s pretty f**king clear that most evangelicals have neither. But my main thing is being a good person simply because, as George Costanza once said we’re living in a society!' If you’re only a good person in order to make it to heaven you probably aren’t actually a good and moral person."

I'm a bit unstable, yes.
But I'm not alone.
So let's discuss.

"I also used to work in a gas station and you’re SO right. I f**king hated the lottery people. Especially since my store had a small staff and there was usually only one of us working at a time, which meant that I couldn’t get any of my other work done as long as they were there."
"And you’re right, it’s also pretty sad to watch. I had one lady who used to come in every day and spent hundreds and HUNDREDS of dollars on scratch tickets. One day, she won $200 after spending probably around $600 and she was so excited and saying she can 'finally pay her bills.'"
