The only thing that is possibly more difficult than losing a loved one is being with them in their final days.

Or worse yet, their final moments.

When it's no longer a question of if but when.

No matter their age, or cause of death, when people know that the end is near, they will become reflective of their life and all they've accomplished.

And sadly, all the things they wish they'd done... or hadn't done.

The things they never got a chance to do or wished they'd never said.

Something that health care workers and home aids find themselves equally moved by as the family sitting vigil.

Parents and adults are so dramatic. And they have the audacity to say kids are a handful. How many things have we been warned away from due to unforeseen possible dangers?

Don't do that. Don't touch that. Don't go there. That person is shady. The list seems endless.

Then you grow up and start experiencing all the do's and do not's and you realize, every adult was either lying or too dramatic to live.

I miss the good old days of "reality" tv. Don't you? Do you remember The Real World & MTV's Road Rules? Those were the days, long before everything got convoluted. Then Jerry Springer came along with Survivor and the Kardashians and now it's all just scripted chaos. The fact they use the word "reality" proves they don't know the meaning of it. It's all a show darlings.

Listen ... we know you don't want to hear it, but 2020 being over won't actually change anything. 2021 is going to start out at least as gnarly as 2020 has been, and whether that gets better or not is probably going to involve some long and exhausting fights.
