Say "Rihanna." Go ahead, say it out loud!
Now evaluate how you pronounced it.
Probably like "Ree-AH-nah," right?
Well according to Rihanna herself, that's actually not the right way to say her name.
In a video posted to British Vogue's Twitter account, Rihanna identified herself as "Ree-ANN-uh".

We've been saying it wrong for at LEAST 14 years, considering her first hit single, "Pon De Replay," came out in 2005.
But, to be fair, she did tell HLN's AJ Hammer how to say her name in 2012:

Rihanna also totally tried to tell us again in 2015 how to pronounce her name via Instagram:

This time, we will hopefully learn from our mistakes.
Almost all famous artists make a difference to their fans, but it's much rarer for a fan to make a major impact on an artist. Some fans, however, have stories so touching that even pop superstars like Rihanna can't help but take notice.
One such fan was a young lady named Monia, who was battling cancer for the third time. After a very painful journey, Monia sadly passed away earlier this month. Though they hadn't known each other long, the super-fan had such an impact on Rihanna that the singer penned a touching Instagram post to remember her by.
In her post, Rihanna wrote:
"Navy Angels! This Christmas, we lost a beautiful spirit who was such a pillar of strength to us! Most of our friendship she's spent in a hospital or doctor's office! This picture was just a few months ago, she looked at me and said "Rih the cancer is back" I'll never forget the fear in her eyes this day!"
Rihanna also posted a behind-the-scenes video of their last meeting:
Rihanna continued to support Monia on social media, liking her posts, commenting on pictures, and visiting at meet-and-greet events. On one of Monia's last Instagram photos, Rihanna commented:
"Sis we are all praying for you! Your strength and your ability to let the beauty in your spirit shine through, even in the midst of adversity, is tremendously inspiring!! Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us! I imagine it's quite a lonely one, hours on end in hospital walls, being scared to even fall asleep because you're afraid u won't wake up, feeling like nobody will ever understand that, the physical agony, the medication and all their side effects...I can't begin to imagine what you feel, so I want you to know we are all here for you and I encourage the NAVY to rally around you during these times! Love you!"
The comment made a huge difference to Monia, who reposted it along with a message about what it meant to her:
"I haven't posted in a while because there was so much going on.. so much pain, so many bad news, just too much. and right in the worst time, she's there for me. this made my day. thank you robyn, for being so real and supportive. and thanks to everyone else who is supportive in any way, every comment, every dm, every prayer - I appreciate it so much 🙏🏼 tomorrow morning is my next mrt scan, because my left eye is hurting a lot and they gotta make sure I don't have a new tumor in my brain or something. I'll keep you updated. love you x"
Fans everywhere were touched by the relationship between Riri and Monia:

Monia would ultimately fall victim to the cancer which plagued her for so long, but Rihanna is sure her beautiful soul won't soon be forgotten:
"Still she pushed forward, fighting the fight everyday with the Navy behind her supporting her every step of the way! We are all heartbroken about this!!! You will never be forgotten! Love you my angel @moniasto fly in peace."
Rihanna is already a global superstar, but now she'll go down in history as the subject of a dynamite meme.
A video of Rihanna voguing with two of her background dancers during a 2016 performance of "Take Care" and "We Found Love" has resurfaced. In a style similar to the infamous "Party Rock Anthem" meme, fans quickly discovered Rihanna's dance fit many different pieces of music, some more appropriate for her dance moves than others.
Here's the dance Rihanna did with its original music:
Things started to look different pretty quickly once Twitter got its hands on the clip, however.

What a journey! If you're feeling untethered from reality, that's perfectly understandable. To reground yourself in the real world, here's some clips of Rihanna breaking it down to her own music. Enjoy!
Love is a beautiful thing. it is a core gift of life. To be able to find that one in a million person to spend this life and eternity with is something we all dream about. One of the worst feelings in the world involving love is not having the love you feel reciprocated. And hey... we've all been there. Thank God for vodka and good friends.... and Adele.
One Reddit asked everyone to be brave and share... People who are in love with someone you can't possibly be with, how do you cope?
There are so many things that have been invented over time that were meant to enlighten and enhance our lives. And many have... the car, the movies, cellphones... snuggies. But many things that have been produced that really just bring down morale and cease any reason to live. I jest, it's not that serious, but it's close. There are just a few things we can all do without and wish we could make disappear.
Pay the piper!Giphy
Payday loans. Damn predatory pigs.
That's not real work..
Is unsolicited calls about political candidates considered telemarketing? If not, F whatever that is!!
Un-invent the wheel so I could re-invent it and be famous for the most important invention of all time.
Just give me gas!!
The stupid impossible to use gas can spouts.
Save the animals!
Styrofoam. That stuff is terrible.
Living in Croatia, can confirm. To hell with landmines. When I was a kid, parents took me to the countryside once. Me and my sister were having a walk trough some field when suddenly some older man warns us to stop and get back on track. Turns out the area still wasn't 100% cleared of mines. There's still thousands of them in Croatia from the war.
Education for all....Giphy
Student loans. There is no way the cost of an education would have spiked as much as it did without them.
The five-day work week.
9/80 and 4/10 schedules make so much more sense than the traditional 5/8s. I honestly have no clue why more businesses don't offer their employees custom work schedules. It doesn't cost the company anything and allows employees the luxury of a day off (or even a 3-day weekend) every week or every 2 weeks.
