When Kamala Harris was sworn in as the Vice-President of the United States, it was a historic moment.

As she became the first woman to hold the title, causing a major crack in the glass ceiling which still, amazingly, has yet to be broken.

Unfortunately, there are still a distressing number of people who carry antiquated opinions when it comes to gender roles.

Feeling that only a man could possibly be in charge of certain things or that women aren't cut out for certain roles. Preposterous.

Thankfully, this can sometimes lead to someone's foot being deliciously shoved right into their mouth after they embarrass themselves by assuming their husband, or male partners or assistants, are the ones in charge.

When the women they are speaking to are, to use another antiquated term, "the ones wearing the pants" in these situations.

Basically, a singing and dancing rat dominates the world and he brings smiles to children and to the young at heart.

Many of our favorite Intellectual Properties–like Star Wars, Marvel, the Muppets, and companies like National Geographic and 21st Century Fox, and many others, now fall under the wide umbrella bigger than that of the one used by another widely known IP, Mary Poppins.

But unlike the beloved British witch who repairs broken families in London, Disney, the company, is not practically perfect.

Along with crushing box office records and making dreams come true for millions of guests visiting their world-class theme parks comes great responsibility–keeping legions of fans happy.

People need to calm down when they are bestowed a little bit of "power." It's of course a great thing to be trusted with more responsibility at works, it makes you feel seen and that your work is appreciated. And it is of course a fantastic quality to make sure everyone is working together so that everything is running at 100%, but let's remember that a little power makes you no better than anyone else. Nobody needs a parent at work or a snitch, just do your job and be pleasant. You're not the HR police... unless you are the HR police.
