Kristen Bell Just Asked Her Kids To Guess How Old She's Turning—And Their Answers Are Hilariously Brutal
@kristenanniebell/Instagram
It is considered impolite to ask a woman's age.
But chivalry didn't apply when Kristen Bell was the one who did the asking.
The Good Place actress just turned 39 and indulged in a guessing game with her two young daughters, Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4, whom she shares with her husband, actor Dax Shepard.
She asked for it.
Bell filmed herself asking her girls:
"How old do you think I'm turning?"
The girls, who are obviously too young to comprehend the concept of time, answered with as much accuracy as other kids their age.
Nevertheless, their guess-timations felt like tiny daggers in mommy's loving heart, as evidenced by her facial reactions.
Delta, who is off-camera with her sister, thought long and hard.
"Six … fifty …," she said, verbalizing her thought process before arriving at her final answer:
"63."
Bell turned the question over to her eldest:
"How old do you think I'm turning, Link?"
After a prolonged pause, she declared:
"89."
How cute is that?

Making sure everyone had an equal guessing opportunity, Bell turned to Shepard, 44, and asked the same question.
The Without a Paddle actor diplomatically answered:
"I think a safe bet, somewhere in the middle of those two guesses, so … 71?"
Through giggles, Bell finally revealed to them she is 39.
She shared the video on Instagram where it got over 2,460,000 views.
She captioned her post:
"My kids are kind. I don't care if they cant do math."
Followers were charmed by the hilarious family interaction and also commented on her age-defying looks.

Shepard gave a special birthday shout-out to his wife on his Instagram page by sharing a video of the pair putting their sensitive palates through their paces with some overly spicy foods and burping and moaning through the painful process.
He captioned the post with:
"Happy Birthday Buddy!!! I've been with you on a third of your ride, and I hope I'm lucky enough to burp/throw-up/suffer/thrive with you for all the rest."
He added:
"Best Mom, best wife, best friend, longest story teller. You're everything to me and more."
After dating for six years the couple delayed tying the knot until the state of California legalized same-sex marriage.
The Supreme Court ruled section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) unconstitutional on June 26, 2013, prompting Bell to propose to Shepard on Twitter, to which he said, "yes." The pair married on October 16, 2013.
They welcomed Lincoln into the world in March 2013, followed by Delta in December 2014.
Happy birthday Kristen!

Siblings Surprise Mom For New Year's Eve, Hits The Internet In The Feels
Alright guys, it's a week into 2019. Time for a check-in and a feel-good story to boost your vibes.
It's been a rough week, guys. The government is still shut down, everybody is mad at R. Kelly again - which means his sales are up, and you already forgot about that squat challenge. Awards shows are fun - Christian Bale thanked Satan in his acceptance speech and Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan got into a fist fight not over the Wakandan throne. We've packed up the holiday season and it's back to business as usual. The come-down off this holiday high is a rough one and we could all use a boost in the warm fuzzies.
I got you, fam. What's warmer and fuzzier than a pair of siblings ditching a New Year's Eve party to go surprise their mom who was stuck at work? I mean, I could throw in some cute kitties, but that might be overwhelming and I know half of you are reading this when you're supposed to be working, so I'm trying not to blow your spot. Play it cool, Sharon. Play it cool.
Dax Shepard recently went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to celebrate his birthday.
While he was there, his wife, Kristen Bell, visited and the pair's love is so strong that it made them both cry.
Shepard sat down with Ellen to discuss his show The Ranch.
On the show, he works with his buddy, Ashton Kutcher, which he says is "about as fun as it gets".
He went on to describe the experience as "really sweet" since Kutcher kick-started Dax's career with Punk'd.
Ellen also set Dax up for a round of "Ask Dr. Dax" — a session where guests can ask Shepard relationship questions.

After discussing one woman's plight of disliking her husband's favorite sex position, his wife made a surprise appearance to ask him her own question.
Kristen Bell, currently starring on The Good Place, asked him:
"What would you recommend getting someone very special, like a spouse, for their birthday? Or how would you spoil them on their birthday?"
Shepard responded:
"In the bedroom."
After a laugh, Bell cheekily said:
"Let's say I have 'in the bedroom' covered."
She went on to give him a wink and specified she wanted "out of the bedroom" advice.
Dax's response to his wife was the sweetest imaginable.
"I would say please, please, please give that person love and support for 11 years. Give them two beautiful baby girls, and you're good."
As he listed the wonderful things his wife had given him over the years, tears came to his eyes.
Bell wasn't immune to the tears either and she called him out for his emotion saying:
"You're crying, too!
The internet is also overcome with emotion for this amazing couple.

Mandy Moore Admits She 'Fell In Love' With Shane West During 'A Walk To Remember'—And We Feel You, Girl ❤️
Be still our teenage hearts. Our favorite young romance film, A Walk To Remember, just had it's sweet 16! The film, which starred Mandy Moore and Shane West in the lead roles, found incredible success on its release. Mandy was new on the scene at the time, Shane had a bit more experience. People fell in love with Mandy's vulnerability, her sweetness, and her talent. While the world was busy falling head over heels for Mandy, Moore was busy falling for Shane.
Moore and West had incredible chemistry on screen, and that may have been due to the fact that Mandy got a little caught up in playing pretend and found herself catching real feelings for Shane. She was a new actress and Shane was kind, patient, and helped her learn things quickly. Mandy admits she couldn't quite figure out if this was a crush, professional appreciation, or if she was just taking her role to heart a little too much.
She told Entertainment Weekly:
Shane was so cool. The way he dressed...and the music he listened to... He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him. I don't know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl.
Moore also went on to talk about how Shane helped her to learn the ropes at a time when she knew, essentially, nothing.
Shane was so wonderful. I didn't know what I was doing and he'd done movies and he was on a critically acclaimed TV show. He had a lot of respect as an actor and I was just the total newbie. I didn't even know how to hit a mark, I was so fresh-faced and naive. I felt incredibly lucky right off the bat that I had someone who was as willing to work with me and who was patient and understanding. He was just the perfect partner for that.
So look, we totally get it. So does Twitter. When news of Mandy's crush on Shane hit the internet, internet responded like "same."

Relationship Adverse Man Looks To DTR With Male Roommate, Worries The Conversation Will Jeopardize Everything
A Redditor needed some advice for a life changing situation involving, of course, love... they asked... Me [32 M] with my "roomate" [31 M], how do I ask him to be my boyfriend when we pretty much are already a couple?
Here is how the story goes... I'll be the first to admit, I have huge commitment issues- my parents threw me out for being gay and then shortly after I entered into an abusive relationship with a much older man. After that broke up because he found someone younger, I was in a relationship with a guy who was in the closet and basically was his dirty secret until he got engaged to a woman without telling me and then wanted me to stick around. I didn't. After that I became pretty anti relationship.
I'm pretty well known for being anti-relationship too, especially in my circle of friends.
About 18 months ago, I met Alan at a supermarket, we made eye contact, flirted a lot and I invited him back to my place for a drink when he invited me back to his place when he saw that I was just grabbing a frozen meal, whereas he was going to cook. So of course I accepted.
We started a FWB thing after that but then slowly started hanging out outside of the bedroom.
Then Alan's lease was up and I was wanting a housemate so I asked him if he was interested- he couldn't afford it but I told him he could pay what he was currently paying and he could cook and kept the house clean.
He agreed because he was essentially paying for a single bedroom apartment and living in a house and he loves cooking and cleaning anyway, his personality reminds me a lot of Monica from Friends only he works in a library.
Before I knew it, I was getting packed lunches every day and he's made a vegetable patch in the backyard.
About 2 months after he moved in, he brought up being mutually exclusive FWB after an STI scare. I agreed because I actually hadn't slept with anyone except Alan for ages and neither had he. So after we got tested again we stopped using condoms.
Then a few months after that- Alan wanted to join the gym so I added him to my membership as my partner. We turn up to events with each other. We hang out a lot. He sleeps in my room more often than his room because we have sex there the most.
Then last week we were at a party when someone asked what our relationship was. Alan laughed, looked at me straight in the eye and said that we were "mutually exclusive, housemates with benefits with income proportional expense sharing."
Now that just sounds ridiculous. I know I have a boyfriend, I've been sort of denying it all this time but that's what Alan is.
This situation is both really screwed up but I've also never been happier. He's so easy to talk to, to hang out with and when he's not at home I feel bored, like I don't know what I did with myself before I met him.
But somehow I both want him to be my boyfriend but a part of me is scared of getting in a relationship, even though I am in one.
I just feel like saying the words will change everything- it's a commitment and I really want it but there's that irrational part of me that is scared.
Also I'm scared that Alan doesn't think we're in a relationship even though we are right? Alan has never had a boyfriend as long as I've know him and he has his own set of issues too, he's parents basically tried to "pray away the gay" and he left of his own volition. He used to bring up very subtly about getting more serious but I would just evade and he stopped pushing. It's so weird, like I can talk to him about everything and anything, we have these amazing conversations but lately this whole boyfriend thing is like the elephant in the room.
How do I get over this fear of commitment and also what does it say that he'd put up with this crap from me?
