Men Break Down Which Things They Will Never Quite Understand About Women
Men and women.
What a conundrum.
Or mess, whatever description makes more sense.
I don't believe this battle of wills and thoughts will be answered in this lifetime.
But maybe some headway can be made with a few honest thoughts.
Some guys out there really want to "get it," ladies.
And by "get it," they mean answers to questions and logic that escapes them.
So how can you help?
Redditor GrouchyResolution974 wanted to know what the boys can't quite seem to grasp about the ladies, so they asked:
"Men of Reddit, what’s one thing you will never understand about women?"
Thankfully, I like boys, but's it's a fascinating topic. I'm listening.

"Are you planting hair ties and bobby pins everywhere to mark your territory?"
"This actually came up in a previous relationship when my girlfriend (at the time) found a 'foreign' bobby pin in one of the bathroom drawers, and freaked out about it until I casually explained that she is in fact not the first girlfriend I ever had and that I don't go through and scrub every square inch of my apartment after a breakup."

Chaotic Sizes
"Why are women clothing sizes all over the place? One store a size 4 could be a 9 at a different store."
Zihark53
"We don't get it either, and we don't like it. The fashion industry refuses to standardize sizes, make bras for well endowed women at a reasonable price, or put useable pockets on our clothing. It's freaking MADDENING."
TattooedWenchkin
"This is a topic most of us rant about at LEAST twice a month, if not every time we go clothes shopping. My best friend says women’s sizing depends on your horoscope and your immediate proximity to a chicken."
queenlesbian99
Why so Small?
"Why are their pockets so small? Who started this?"
GBgabe13
"Pockets went away because 20th century fashion silhouettes were too slim for pockets, cost of installing pockets makes manufacturers not include them in designs, and women’s clothing is made of weaker fabrics that aren’t suitable for pockets. The purse industry thing is a myth. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W2zSSE9pgC8"

"It's because of the implications of the past rage. I think women tend to connect behaviors into a pattern more, rightly or wrongly. So X things is seen as a warning sign for something negative."
"Something happen twice is a pattern of behavior that indicates negative thing. I think men tend to view each incident as an isolated event. I don't think either one is right or wrong. I think you need both kinds of thinkers in a social group. A lot of women just tend to lean one way and a lot of men the other."

People can never totally hide when they have a sexual relationship on this side.
They might try,
But there are always signs.
And when people are in lust, usually joy follows.
Joy is hard to suppress.
So let's chat about learning sexy secrets.
Redditor uraniumraven wanted to hear about the times we've uncovered sexy scandals amongst others, so they asked:
"What's a tell-tale sign two people are having a secret sexual relationship with each other?"
I just eavesdrop on conversations.
It always leads to answers.

"It was the only interaction they had all night."
"In that instant I have never been more sure two people were f**king. Told my girlfriend, 'Those two are smashing,' she told me to stop being a creep. Sure enough 6 months later everyone finds out they're f**king and funnyman is the dad."

Chemistry
"Kind of like what Joey in Friends reasoned. If there is chemistry on stage, chances are no chemistry in real life. If they are awkward on stage, chances are they are having sex in real life."
"If they are acting awkward in front of others and clearly trying hard to act like they don’t care about each other, sexual relationship. If they carry out as normal and work well together, no secret sexual relationship."

Space
"Their orbits are smaller around each other. Without meaning to, they will change their personal space requirements with the other. They'll think they're normal distance away, but won't be. Also, they'll move around each other too easily (like in small spaces) without the awkward missteps the rest of us make."

Making Eyes
"It's definitely the awkward avoidance of one another for no reason. When I was a supervisor two of my employees were secretly dating and being as young as they were (19-20yrs old) they didn't have the ability to hide their feelings without avoiding each other as if they hated one another."
"I figured it out on Day 1. Hilariously cute."
"Edit: When they finally told me I told them I already knew. They were flabbergasted that I figured it out. It wasn't that hard! When y'all make googly eyes at one another across the store or try to surreptitiously touch hands at the till I'm gonna notice."

"I’ve caught people because they didn’t follow one another on social media to try to avoid suspicion, but they both posted that they were at the same place and similar photos, and despite not posting about one another, it was obvious. The Biggest Regrets Dying Patients Shared According To Medical Professionals
The only thing that is possibly more difficult than losing a loved one is being with them in their final days.
Or worse yet, their final moments.
When it's no longer a question of if but when.
No matter their age, or cause of death, when people know that the end is near, they will become reflective of their life and all they've accomplished.
And sadly, all the things they wish they'd done... or hadn't done.
The things they never got a chance to do or wished they'd never said.
Something that health care workers and home aids find themselves equally moved by as the family sitting vigil.
Redditor delete_my_comment was curious to hear the most heartbreaking confessions hospital and healthcare workers heard from their dying patients, leading them to ask:
"Hospital workers, what regrets do you hear from dying patients?"

"He was 92."
"After knowing him a few days, he disclosed to me his regret was outliving everyone he loved."
"That he and his wife hadn’t had kids, and he was 'all that was left' and that he wanted to see his wife again."
"I wasn’t sure how to respond , so I just listened."
"It made me realize how living so long isn’t great if everyone you love is gone."
'He passed away later that week, and while I distinctly recall some of my classmates being upset, I felt relief for him."
"I knew he was where he wanted to be."
"I’ve had many patients since, but you tend to remember your first ones."
"Other than that, ditto what everyone’s saying, more time with family/loved ones, wish they wasted less time with work or other bullsh*t, etc."- Reiiran
Regret Comes In Many Forms
"I’m a hospice social worker, so I have the honor of getting to listen to peoples’ life stories, including favorite memories and regrets."
"Most regrets center around what they didn’t get to do, like never traveling to Italy when their family was originally from Naples."
"Some regret not getting specific education, wanting to go to college but never doing it."
"Some regret their choice in partner, especially when alcohol/drug abuse was involved, or cheating."
"Many express a sadness that looks a lot like regret if they are estranged from family."
"And some have anticipatory grief from knowing they will miss a milestone, like the birth of a grandchild."
"Some regret not taking better care of their health, people with COPD who regret ever having a cigarette."
"In general life is long and time smooths some of the rough edges, so people tend to focus on the good."- Notacoldnight

"I had to leave and go to the bathroom and cry."
"I cried for days every time I thought of what he said."
"I thought I would never know what it was like to be loved like that."
"I had been divorced for years."

"But he died not really understanding that."- shesagdb
The Life He Never Got To Live
"I worked as an oncology nurse right out of nursing school."
"I was barely 21 years old."
"Had a patient about my age who was dying of lung cancer."
"A few hours before he died I sat with him and he was telling me how much he wished that he would have had more time-to maybe fall in love, marry, have kids."
"He was so young."
"He asked me to call his parents and he died shortly after they arrived."
"It was awful."
"His regrets were more about the life not lived."
"Many older patients had some interesting life stories and most wanted to tell them before they died."
"Most were at peace with the life they lived."
"Many regretted working so much and not spending enough time with family."- MagiBee218
Life is precious and short.
Chances are, none of us will accomplish everything we hope to in life.
So the best we can do is live to the fullest, and enjoy each waking moment.
And never take for granted the people we love and who love us.
How does one not believe provable facts?
They're facts.
We can Google anything.
Though google can be wrong once and awhile, but you know what I mean.
Proof is always attainable.
So it's astonishing to learn some of the whacked out things people will take as truth that the rest of us know is fiction.
Redditor AmulyaCattyCat asked everyone about all of the oddest things they take as truth that the rest of the world knows is false:
"What is the weirdest fake 'fact' you've seen people believe?"
My biggest shock is still all this election stuff. Like... come on?

In Egypt
"I once talked to a guy who was quite insistent that Adolf Hitler was still alive and had been found living in Egypt. Putting aside why he would be in Egypt in the first place instead of the stereotypical South America or something, he would be 133 years old if that were true."
"Since that's older than the oldest confirmed person in history, and also he was known to be in poor health toward the end of his life, there's no way he could be alive today."
"Not the weirdest by any means, but 'famous person who died isn't really dead' conspiracy theories puzzle me a lot because they're so low-stakes."
"If a famous person is still alive but is hiding and not doing anything of note, why does it matter? Why get so invested in it? Odd."

poinsettias...
"Researching poinsettia care i came across a claim that they are supposedly extremely poisonous. Apparently a kid in 1912 (!) died by eating one leaf. This story is so widespread that a few counties banned the plant from public spaces, and many pet owners refrain from buying it, fearing that their pets might eat it and die."
"Well, as it turns out it's complete crap, poinsettias are not actually poisonous, and Paul Ecke, the world's leading producer, repeatedly ate an entire plant on camera to prove it. Experiments show that poinsettias do contain very low amounts of a potentially toxic chemical, but it takes well over 500 plants worth of this chemical to intoxicate a mouse, making poinsettias much less toxic than bananas."

People Divulge Which Things They Swear To Be True Even Without Tangible Proof
Whenever someone requests you to back up whatever wisdom or knowledge you just imparted, you somehow doubt if whatever you verbalized is actually true.
Without explanation, sometimes you just know things to be absolutely true. Call it your gut or strong spidey sense, but many of us have these moments where we are at a loss for words but innately know something to be undeniably accurate.
Curious to hear examples of this, Redditor TheToastyNuts asked:
"What do you swear on your life to be 100% true?"
These Redditors had very specific memories or thoughts.

Goonies In Theaters
"The first time I saw the movie The Goonies in theaters, there was slightly more footage to the movie. Just a few camera angles and scenes here and there. I find that if you ever change lines at the grocery store because the one you're in seems longer than the others, you are gravely mistaken.
Because the moment you step out of line, the new line somehow becomes much longer.
Come on. We all know this to be 100% accurate.
