Seth Meyers Had A Good Laugh After Noticing His Family Christmas Photo Had A Glaring Error
Christmas cards and family Christmas photos are a long-standing tradition, where we share well wishes with our loved ones alongside very festive photos of our faces.
Seth Meyers noticed something VERY off about his family's Christmas card this year.
The SNL alum and talk show host had a huge laugh at his own expense.
The card read "Happy Holidays! Love Ellen, Tom & Peanut."
None of those people are people in Seth Meyers' family.
When he shared the card on Instagram, Meyers wrote:
"Happy Holidays to Tom, Ellen and Peanut whose names were accidentally printed on the bottom of the Meyers family card."
"I'll admit that if it was just Tom and Ellen it would have been rage inducing but the inclusion of Peanut makes it hilarious."
"Is Peanut a pet? Probably. But maybe they are a small child or a live-in grandparent."
"The whole thing is a reminder that the true meaning of Christmas is things will go wrong and the best you can do is roll with it (we cut off the bottoms!). Also, if Tom and Ellen received the bottoms of OUR card just know that Frisbee is my wife's cousin and he is a DJ."
Most people were quick to speculate on the identity of Peanut:

The guesses ranged from adorable corgi...
...to random post-convict tenant in Tom and Ellen's house.
Some people have experienced similar Christmas card trauma:

But most people were just doubled over with laughter:

No!
Not Peanut!
Meyers has had a pretty solid 2019, receiving four Emmy nominations, including "Original Music & Lyrics" for Documentary Now! and "Best Writing-Variety Series" for both Late Night with Seth Meyers and Documentary Now!
May Seth, the actual Meyers' family, Ellen, Tom and Peanut all have a merry and a bright holiday season.

Seth Meyers And Ina Garten Got Drunk And Played The Most Hilarious Drinking Games On 'Late Night'
Seth Meyers recently hung out with Barefoot Contessa's Ina Garten for a segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers to demonstrate that day drinking can be more enjoyable than a raucous night out.
The pair knocked back a few libations, like Duke's Cosmopolitan and Whiskey Sours, concocted by the celebrated cookbook author for their "refined afternoon."
In the spirited competition of who makes it better, Meyers failed miserably at duplicating her recipe, indicated by Garten's measured sips followed by intense wincing.
Here is the full video of their day drinking segment on YouTube:

Their segment was a main dish that delivered all the feels, with a generous helping of laughter.

In another segment called "Don't Be a Dip," Garten tested whether Meyers's palate could differentiate between her homemade dip and fast food dips. In the event he guessed incorrectly, he had to take a drink.
Now that's a mark of good sportsmanship!

Because of her expert culinary prowess, Meyers was able to correctly distinguish all the samples based on excellent taste, although he did have involuntary assistance in figuring out which one was the KFC gravy.
When he correctly guessed the McDonald's BBQ sauce, however, he joked that the other sauce was just "okay."
There were plenty of giggles, which enabled even more imbibing.
How could anyone not want to hang out with these two?
@inagarten @sethmeyers @LateNightSeth This video made my year. It's great to know that there are people like you two in the world!— Dereck R. Jones (@Dereck R. Jones) 1549575947.0
Being the "Barefoot Contessa," Garten was tasked with identifying whose bare feet photo belonged to which celebrity for another hysterical challenge, and other games involved matching celebrity chefs with their synonymous quotes.
If these two were hosting a party, we'd so be there.
@inagarten @LateNightSeth @sethmeyers This was absolutely AWESOME! Thank you for the laugh until I cried moment! :)— TJTARA (@TJTARA) 1549569043.0

Garten said she had a blast day drinking with the affable host. Who wouldn't?
But she did warn, "Don't try this at home!!!"

Let's face it, day drinking is the new panacea to all the division faced by our country right now.

The segment ended with Meyers's rendition of Garten's Hot Pink Butter Cake in honor of her 71st birthday (February 2), which visually didn't live up to its former reputation but was filled with a lot of love. She said "I love my cake," called the afternoon "the best birthday ever," and gave her friend a sweet kiss and a hug.
Now we're just jealous we weren't there.
Happy birthday, Ina!
People Who've Survived Events Where Others Were Killed Reveal Whether They Struggle With "Survivor's Remorse"
We constantly take for granted the fact that life is fleeting. We should savor every second and we rarely do... shame on us. Sure we all survive everyday to live another day, but then there are people who have miracles, where they survive events that are unthinkable. They make it through moments where you continue breathing that are improbable. And those souls are left often with a burden to bare.
Redditor jpAtmosphere wanted to hear from life's survivors about some of their greatest challenges by asking....
People who have survived events in which others were killed, how has your life changed since? Do you have survivor's remorse?
Daniel Radcliffe Explains Why He Might Never See 'The Cursed Child'—And We Totally Get It
Harry Potter is one of those cultural phenomenons that you can't really get away from - and that fans don't really want to. The franchise now includes books, films, merchandise, theme parks, and stage plays. You'd think the actors involved in the original films would be the biggest fans in the world - and they might be - but they know when to stay away from the Potterverse. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been making some serious waves in the theater community, but Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter himself - won't be seeing the show.
Radcliffe appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers and the topic of the play came up. It was such a smash hit that surely Daniel would want to see it, right?
Nope.
Lots of people assume maybe it would be strange for him to witness his own character in some of these situations, but that's not the case. Radcliffe has had an incredibly successful acting career in movies, television, and stage plays since Harry Potter. He's quite comfortable letting go of his characters. He doesn't want to see it because he doesn't want to deal with the audience. We mentioned that Radcliffe is an accomplished stage actor, so he understands that the audience and actors affect one another. Radcliffe worried that people would be busy watching him for his reactions as opposed to watching the action on stage. Putting Harry Potter into a theater full of Harry Potter fans would create a distraction. The fans wouldn't get to enjoy the show as intended and the actors would constantly be competing for the audience's attention.
When asked if he would consider a disguise, he brushed the idea off. He didn't want to be that guy.
"The thing about a disguise is that if it stops working then you're just a dude who wore a disguise."
Overall, the whole thing wouldn't be a "relaxing evening at the theater" - which is what Radcliffe thinks theater should be. The verdict on whether or not he will see the show in the theater is a totally understandable no.
People get it. Radcliffe has made it a point to maintain as close to a "normal" life as possible, so skipping out on that makes sense. Most people were quite happy to just let that be the end of it.
Then there's this guy... who kind of unintentionally proved Daniel's point.
@Gizmodo He just needs to show up nude like he's in Eqqus and nobody will notice.... uh... some of his reactions.— Mike Fennelly (@Mike Fennelly) 1543029509.0

Boyfriend Catches GF Worsening Her Injuries For Sympathy, And Seeks Advice
Millions of people struggle with self-harm every single day. Their reasons are as varied and unique as they are. it's a dangerous tendency that people absolutely can overcome, but it requires a lot of work and support. Having said that, the self-harming person has to be willing to accept that help.
What do you do when you catch a loved one hurting themselves but they refuse to acknowledge it?
That's the position one Reddit found himself in when he posted asking for advice:
My girlfriend Lacy and I have been dating 2 years. She's a lovely person and we make a great couple.
Two weeks ago Lacy and I went downhill skiing. I'm an experienced skier and she had only been once before. I admit I pushed her abilities and lo and behold, she wiped out pretty hard. She wasn't seriously hurt or anything and got right back up with a smile on her face.
Her legs got pretty bruised up from the fall (she was wearing only thin workout leggings since it was quite warm out). It looks like someone splashed green paint on her, if that makes sense. And she has a particularly nasty big purple one on her thigh.
Lacy has always been the type to show off injuries. For as long as I've known her she has always showed me even the tiniest of bruises either for sympathy or attention (like she would say it was shaped as Texas or something). She has some body image issues and I know that she really likes the attention so I will usually give it to her no problem.
Yesterday though I came home from work early (power went out at my building). I walked in pretty quietly as I usually do and went straight to our bedroom. I could hear music coming from it and wanted to greet her.
I basically opened the door and saw her with a hammer in her hands mid hit. The hammer hit her bruised leg the moment I walked in. It was absolutely surreal and I admit - I freaked out a bit. I went to her and took the hammer and started asking her what she was doing?
She freaked out right back and told me that she was rubbing the blood vessels or something to make the bruises go away faster. I knew this was bullshit right away since you don't "rub" by smacking yourself with a fricken hammer.
She left after I told her I didn't believe her and texted me shortly after to say she was going home for a few days.
I sat down on the bed with that hammer in my hands for like an hour completely floored. I know it sounds crazy but she hit herself hard. I've seen those bruises every day and now that I've seen her do this I am thinking that it was weird that they haven't gotten even the slightest bit lighter despite it being two weeks now.
I know she has some issues but I would never have thought she would hurt herself.
Reddit, I'm freaked out. She will be back tomorrow. How do I talk to her about this?
Users were surprisingly open with their responses. People gave advice and even shared stories of their own self-harming experiences. If that sort of thing is difficult or triggering for you to read, you may want to move on to another article. For the rest of you, here are some of the top responses. Some have been edited for content or clarity.
