Child Actor From 'Parasite' Has Adorably Enthusiastic Reaction To His Film Winning The Oscar For Best Picture
The Oscars were full of fun surprises this year, but surely among the favorites was the South Korean film, Parasite, winning Best Picture.
Add to this the child star's adorable reaction to the film winning, and it's sweet moment that's sure to be mentioned at future Oscars to come.
Ten-year-old Jung Hyeon-jun was the lead child start in the tragicomedy film, Parasite, that took South Korean cinema by storm earlier this year before taking American cinema by enthusiastic surprise.
Hyeon-jun made his debut on South Korean television programs such as "You Are Too Much," "Vagabond," and "Through the Waves." Parasite was his first casting in a feature film, and he's coming into success quickly because of it.
The film went on to be nominated at the Oscars for six different categories, and it managed to win four of them. The two favorite wins appeared to be Bong Joon Ho's win for Best Director, and of course the film making it to Best Picture.
Hyeon-jun unfortunately was too young to attend the Oscars in-person, but he was able to watch the ceremony on his television at home, where AP Entertainment appeared to film his reaction to the win that was coming.
When Parasite was announced as the winner for Best Picture, Hyeon-jun had the sweetest, most enthusiastic reaction from his couch. He was sitting at full attention, waiting to hear the news, and then like the ten-year-old he is, he collapsed into giggles, did a quick happy dance, and quickly collapsed back on the couch in pure joy.
You can watch his reaction here:

Hyeon-jun said of the win:
"I thought it would be awesome to get it, and we actually won the award!"
He also shared his dreams for future stardom and how they already seem to be coming true:
"I am wondering if I am in heaven. I think I was born to receive an Oscar."
Fans were taken by Hyeon-jun's adorable reaction to his film's win and took a moment to celebrate the raw jubilation kids are the best at showing.

Parasite winning Best Picture is a major development for the Oscars, and certainly sets expectations high for future award seasons.
We'll be curious to see which movie wins next year, and even more curious to see if Hyeon-jun is involved in any of the big winners next year.
Natalie Portman Threw Some Shade At The Oscars' Snubbing Of Female Directors With Her Embroidered Cape
On Sunday, February 9, Natalie Portman attended the 92nd Academy Awards in style.
The actress has been nominated for an Oscar three times and won once.
At the 2020 awards, she not only looked great in a Dior cape, but she also dressed to make a statement.
The cloth was embroidered with the names of many female directors snubbed by the Academy in this year's nominations.
While the films they worked on received nominations, the women did not. This is not the first time such a discrepancy has been noted.

Photo Of Billy Porter Taking A Load Off In His Beautiful Oscars Ballgown Was Giving Us All Some Comfort Realness
If there is anybody who could audaciously pull off whimsy and elegance at the same time, Billy Porter has all the fashionistas beat.
The Pose actor's ebullient personality and charisma simply could not be contained in even the smartest of suits while on the red carpet.
After enchanting people in a gender non-conforming Christian Siriano designed tuxedo gown last year, Porter turned heads by going with a two-piece royal gown for this year's Oscars.
The glint from the gilded feathers adorning his turtleneck bodice caught every eye and the elegant songbird appeared as if he had just made contact on terra firma.
He has safely descended from the heavens.

There is no denying Porter's fabulousness, but a photo of him getting a load off was the pose everyone is talking about. This is how the fashion icon bundled up after taking refuge in a tent following a brief downpour on the red carpet.

The Academy once again failed to recognize a significant number of diverse artists in major categories when they announced the 2020 Oscar nominations on Monday.
Cynthia Erivo was the only person of color to be nominated out of the four acting categories and not one female director was nominated despite high expectations that Greta Gerwig was a shoe-in for her critically-acclaimed direction of Little Women.
Amidst the backlash the Academy received, horror novelist Stephen King commented that he would "never consider diversity in matters of art."
On Monday, the Doctor Sleep author explained that writers are allowed to nominate in three categories, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Screenplay.
He continued:
"For me, the diversity issue--as it applies to individual actors and directors, anyway--did not come up. That said, I would never consider diversity in matters of art."
"Only quality. It seems to me that to do otherwise would be wrong."

BuzzFeed News reached out to King's reps and have yet to hear back regarding the backlash.
With the awards season upon us, we're right in the thick of discussing who got nominated, who won an award and what's next for these artists, actors and directors.
Of course, there are always a few surprise wins and nomination snubs and this year has been no exception.
Usually when artists are snubbed for awards, they make grand proclamations like, "I didn't need their recognition anyway! I'm going to do something BIG."
But back in December, actor and comedian Adam Sandler surprised everyone during his interview with Howard Stern, when he promised he would make the next big flop of a movie if his drama, Uncut Gems, didn't receive the recognition he thinks it deserves.
Sandler said:
"If I don't get it, I'm going to f***ing come back and do one again that is so bad on purpose just to make you all pay. That's how I get them."
Quite understandably, Uncut Gems placed Sandler in a dramatic role that is atypical for the comedic, somewhat slap-stick actor. Sandler portrayed a hustling jeweler with a serious sports gambling addiction.
The film is filled with tension and action sequences. Though it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, it was clearly a step in a new direction for Sandler.
Despite the favorable reviews of the movie, however, it looks like audiences and critics everywhere need to get ready for more Sandler cringe-worthy content, because Uncut Gems didn't receive a single nod from the Oscars.
Sandler gave a positive response after the Oscar nominations were posted, highlighting in particular his "Mama" from The Waterboy in 1998, Kathy Bates, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her part in Richard Jewell.

It's unclear if Adam Sandler was serious about creating a serious flop of a movie after not receiving a nomination or award for Uncut Gems, but we'll be ready for some crazy content if he was.
Whether or not there's a deliberate flop on the horizon, one thing is for certain: Sandler isn't slowing down anytime soon.
His work may have not received an Oscar nod this time around, but support from his colleagues and fans is another measure of his success.
One of the films that did earn an Oscar nod is Parasite, available here.
