'Killing Eve' Star Jodie Comer Reveals How She Almost Died While Filming A Bizarre Scene
Fans of Killing Eve eagerly await the Season 2 premiere. However, we almost didn't get a second season of the show, after one of the stars nearly died on set.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer talked about the upcoming season. They shared their initial thoughts on signing up for the series, acting choices in the first season, and some behind-the-scenes stories about Season 2.
Which is where the whole "near death" thing comes into play.

Comer explained that there was a scene where Villanelle is eating pasta "in a very grotesque way."
She said,
"She's trying to prove a point about something. She's playing it up, being her usual childish self, and the pasta was extremely dry.
"And it was extremely thick. I was shoveling it in, and then it just shot down my throat and then I was full-on choking."

It sounds like the experience ruined pasta for her, which is you know, understandable.
"A medic came in and managed to get it out, but my life definitely flashed before me⦠I just remember being opposite the other actor and looking at him, and he thought I was making a weird acting choice.
"So yeah, it's ruined pasta for me completely."
Killing Eve is a series about an MI6 agent tracking down a serial killer.
That may sound like standard fare for 2019, but add in the fact they're both women, they have a rather palpable attraction to each other, and oh yeah, Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are exceptional in their twisted roles and you have a gripping series.
Is it any wonder people are clamoring for another season of the show?

The full interview is available on EW's website, where despite the peculiarity of the situation, Comer says she was "full-on crying." However, Comer found some humor in the situation thinking it'd be a hilarious way for the expert assassin to die.
She's thankfully okay, and fans can look forward to the new season premiering April 7th.
