Hindsight is 20/20. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I was young and stupid in this days.

However people put it into words, we've all done things we regret. And regret comes in a variety of flavors.

A recent Reddit thread took aim at one specific kind of regret: things done that, despite feeling uncomfortable during the act itself, we pushed through. We hoped it was worth the short term struggle, wagering on wonderful circumstances we assumed would follow the strife.

But of course, we discovered that it wasn't worth pushing through. We struggled and toiled but came out with nothing for it.

Hopefully a list like this can offer a few sage pieces of advice to stop you before pushing through for nothing

Photo by Josh Nuttall on Unsplash

All of us have fears which some might call irrational.

Up to and including ghosts, witches, monsters.

But more often than not, reality can be far scarier than the supernatural.

And there are very few people indeed who don't have a memory of a moment when they were truly and genuinely scared.

Having to work for a living is hard work.

Some jobs come with difficulty and two extra sides of stress.

So the last thing people need is unwarranted hate.

I'm so glad I work from home. Writing alone.

I have issues with me, but that I can deal with.
