Conway's legacy began as a guest star on The Carol Burnett Show, before joining as a regular in 1975. There, he was responsible for classic characters such as The Oldest Man and The Dentist, and was known for frequently making his costars break character due to his hilarious ad-libbing.
He, at one point, had his own sitcom, known as The Tim Conway Show. The show ran for one season, between 1980 and 1981.
Since then, he has appeared on many television shows, including McHale's Navy as Ensign Charles Parker and Married... With Children as Ephraim Wanker.
He even had a recurring role on Spongebob Squarepants as Barnacle Boy (a parody of Robin, sidekick to the DC superhero Batman).
