Collectors love their stuff, and people amass all sorts of things over their lifetimes. But the quest for that one perfect item is sometimes unending.

sigh_zip asked, [Serious] Hobbyists and collectors of Reddit, what is your 'holy grail' item?

Pink Floyd. Nice.

1973 "Original Dark Side of the Moon" Vinyl. In very good condition.

It's not the super rare one, but still, this album is older than me by 12 years - probably the last thing I want to sell.

Villosa are very rare which is why they're expensive, and Venus flytraps are just cool af.

Grow a ton of Carnivorous plants. Own thousands of Venus flytraps and Sundews. Along with hundreds of Nepenthes and a few Sarracenia.

I'd love to find a Nepenthes Villosa. Sadly, any toothy variety of Nep is going for stupidly high amounts. The last Villosa I saw went for just over $1,400.

Admit it - you've wished you were a pinball.

I'd have to say a Williams 1993 Twilight Zone Pinball machine, or a 1992 Addams Family machine. Unfortunately, with the recent surge in popularity of pinball, I am now priced out of those machines.

Can't go wrong with Star Wars, especially LEGO Star Wars.

Super star destroyer. Wasn't into LEGO when it was available for 400, now I'm saving up 750 to get one.

The most expensive Les Paul guitar retails for $8,599.

A Gibson Les Paul Custom with Tim Shaw Pickups in wine red or silverburst.

Is it a cup or Mary Madeleine's womb?

The Holy Grail... I'm a historian.

You kids have no idea what it was like, these early computers were so much fun.

[rebelmouse-image 18359723 is_animated_gif= dam=1 expand=1]

As a computer collector, a Commodore 65 or an Apple I. The likelihood of owning either is pretty close to zero.

Jay Leno has one of these bad boys - all 12 cylinders and 600 + horsepower.

Driving a McLaren F1, I would probably have a major mental episode if I ever got the opportunity....may need to go to the mental hospital for a bit after that.

This British rifle shoots multiple rounds and can go for 5-6 figures at auction.

My 1943 303 Enfield.

Good luck parallel parking it.

I am a railway enthusiast, trains, in particular, steam locomotives, are a big fascination of mine, so I'd say an actual steam locomotive.

People Divulge Which Brands They Absolutely Swear By

Don't be alarmed: There are some terrible corporations out there (looking at you, Nestle) but there are also some great brands that are selling decent products.

I know, surprising, right? Maybe we've all just gotten used to brands selling things of questionable quality that when we stumble across something worthwhile it stuns us.

Hold on tight when you find a brand deserving of your loyalty!

People shared their thoughts with us after Redditor spwf asked the online community,

"What brand(s) do you swear by and why?"

You know what would be great?

If society could just stop with arbitrary dress codes. If you're not working with the public, why should you have to dress up so much? If you're a police officer, then it makes sense that you'd wear a uniform that identifies you as a police officer. If you're Ted from IT who sits in the backroom all day, I really don't see why you have to come in every day in a suit and tie.

Let's just toss them out, shall we?

People shared their thoughts with us after Redditor Levels2ThisBrush asked the online community,

"What should be socially acceptable but isn't?"

People Share Their Best 'F**k This, I'm Outta Here' Experiences

As much as many of us don't like to disrupt the status quo, there is only so much time a person can tolerate a miserable situation before things become so unbearable that they ultimately have to peace out.

For some people, it takes a while for them to reach a breaking point. Eventually, there comes a time when they realize their self-worth is more important than continuing to please others who don't appreciate them for the sake of keeping up with appearances.

People Break Down Which Things Always Taste Good Whether They're Served Hot Or Cold
Photo by Erol Ahmed on Unsplash

As we enter into the summer months, people now have to decide whether or not they want their morning coffee to be hot or iced.

Lucky for them, it's delicious either way.

One could make an argument that foods that are equally delicious hot or cold are perhaps the best, or at least the most reliable.

And this can include foods which are not customarily sold both hot and cold (cold pizza anyone?).

Redditor NectarineOther4989 was curious to hear which foods people enjoy either hot or cold, leading them to ask:

"What is something that tastes good both hot and cold?"
