The world is a big place, so of course we're going to have blind spots.

Not everything will come to you naturally, meaning you sometimes need to actively search out meanings and definitions to help you grasp something. People want to be understood, they want others to understand, and, thanks to the internet, this kind of comprehension can be passed around.

Reddit user, u/BlindAharonian32, wanted to understand a little more when they asked:

What do you wish more people understood??

Sure, not all of these are critical to our survival, but it's good to know that you don't always have to respond to every text message right away.

Carrying Super Computers With Us Everywhere Probably Hasn't Helped

"Not being available 24/7 despite being reachable 24/7 is not a crime"

Straight-Positive-53

"This needs to be way more visible."

Move Along, Move Along

"How to stay out of the left lane on the highway"

RichardStroker13

"THIS. A 2-lane highway has a travel lane and a passing lane. When you're not passing another vehicle, stay in the travel lane."

Rules Matter

"That just because something is fiction, even total fantasy, it doesn't mean it shouldn't still follow some established logic and that it's annoying when it doesn't (unless it's deliberately totally absurdist)."

"Also that criticizing or overly analyzing things can be fun, and done in good faith, it doesn't mean being a negative person who can't enjoy. In fact, I think passionate people can be equally passionate about the negative like the positive, it's just two sides of the same coin. It doesn't mean you're super upset or anything."

Social interactions can be hard for everyone.

Now imagine if you're at a dinner party and you have a mood disorder? How much harder would that be?

Nothing To Add. Just Sitting.

"Just because I don't say anything doesn't mean I'm pissed off. I just don't have anything to contribute to the conversation."

thekid8it

"Why are you so quiet?"

"This one drives me nuts."

A Misunderstood Mindset

"Introvert doesnt mean shy highly anxious person"

Fellafrom95

"THANK YOU! Social media, especially Reddit, gets this one wrong all the time and it annoys me so much"

JUULIEJAN

Don't Assume

"Just because you stutter you're not mentally challenged."

Purple_Dorito

"I've got a friend who developed a really bad stutter and struggles with speech in general. He got it after drowning as a child. People assume he's mentally disabled and dumb, when in fact he is a hyper intelligent person with 2 masters and a successful business."

Life is hard.

It doesn't have to be.

Let's Clear It Up

"You can be anything you want."

"It doesn't mean you can be Shaq or whatever. It means that there is no pressure to be a doctor or whatever. You can be anything you want."

"If you don't love me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best."

"Ah the ol' reddit standard. It means if I'm broke and have nothing going for me and you abandon me then when my luck turns around you don't deserve to be in my life. It's basically a person saying things are bad for them now and good friends are few and far between."

DirtySingh

We Need Others

"We need other people to survive, you'll always be dependent on someone so stop being selfish"

Irutsu

"It's popular around here to hate kids. Oh they're so noisy, so messy, so inconvenient and expensive. So f-cking what."

"Those kids are going to be the people who make your video games and keep your power on and draw your animes, so even if you only care about yourself at least think ahead."

It's Not Your Life, But Your Mind, That's The Challenge

"That you can have a seemingly "good" life and still be depressed."

25andsleepy

"My life has gotten way better the past year or two and I still have these heavy days of depression."

Hawkthorn

Ask Yourself One Question

"You gotta ask yourself "what if everyone did this?" So for instance if you're about to throw litter on the ground, what if everyone did that? But on the bright side, if you pick a piece up, what if everyone did THAT?"

on-de

"A teacher of mine told me "If you see someone who can't or won't do something, be it because is unable physically or menially, be a better individual and do it for them". This was also about littering, but I took this phrase to heart and applied it everywhere. If you see someone struggling to cross the street, give help. If you see someone too stubborn to ask for help, just offer help anyway. If you see someone too dumb to throw the trash in the bin, be better than them and throw it yourself."

What Did You Think?

"Poor people hate being poor. And being poor IS NOT A CHARACTER FLAW!"

I'll gobble up pretty much anything.

But I do have my limits.

All people have culinary limitations.

Some menus, as fabulously touted as they are, just don't do it for everybody.

Everything popular is not everybody's cup of tea... or cake, for that matter.

We go to the movies to escape reality.

Nothing is more transportive than watching our favorite Marvel heroes face off with their nemesis in an epic battle or going to Middle Earth and following the journeys of different-sized protagonists.

While we may never truly experience their worlds in reality, there are other films deeply routed in real-life that are still a welcome distraction from the stresses of our daily lives.

But there's one thing that separates truth from fiction, and that is plausibility.

People Break Down What Absolutely Ruins A Good Burger For Them
Photo by Peter Dawn on Unsplash

Most people love a good burger, and many, many American restaurants serve them, but not all burgers are created equal.

Super tall burgers that are hard to eat, way too much sauce (or only a tiny bit of sauce on the middle of the bun), soggy lettuce — there are lots of ways to ruin a burger.
