People Share Which Mispronunciations That Drive Them Nuts

To be fair to some of the entries on this list, perhaps they read them in a book? Yeah, that's got to be it. How many of us can honestly say we pronounced 'chameloen' correctly in our minds the first time we read it?

No one? Right. Sometimes pronunciations slip away from us, however the following entries go maybe just a bit too far.

Reddit user, u/Breeze_in_the_Trees, wanted to know what turn of phrase is turned the wrong way when they asked:

He Does The Arts Gurd

I have a coworker that says he's a "drawler."

He means that he likes to draw.

I want to slap him every time he says it.

Forzara

My Drawing 2 professor would call himself a drawrer and a drawing drawring. He would correct you if you said it differently and he even gave us a really pointless story on why he says it that way that basically told us he didnt know what accents were. I hated that dude

From An English Teacher, No Less

My wife has said and typed "pose to" instead of "supposed to." I love her but goddamn it.

dustinator

It really grinds my gears when people spell it as "suppose to" instead of "supposed to." Aren't English teachers supposed to tell you it has a D at the end?
