The old saying goes, "Quality over quantity." Instead of having a lot of something that's only just okay, it's better to have one thing of that's been made really well. Sure, having one hand-crafted table might be better than having twenty IKEA tables, but sometimes it's not always about the quality. Or you could spend only a few hundred (at the most) on regular carpenters nails. They will both do the same job, to the level of expectations that you would require, but one choice would be significantly cheaper, in a way quantity can be it's own quality.
