People Reveal The People They Have Absolutely No Sympathy For

There are limits to even the most giving and kind of human emotions.

Using up sympathy takes a lot of effort. But once you've tread past the point of "no sympathy," you can never go back. People can only feel for others to a certain extent, and if that person makes no effort to help themselves or others, that feeling quickly fades.

u/moedersx asked:

For which people you have absolutely zero sympathy?

Here were some of the answers.

She's Kind Of A Fixer-Upper

Giphy

I had a friend who would complain I think just for the sake of complaining. She would complain about how bad her situation was but wouldn't do anything to try to change it. I think she complained hoping that other people would come to the rescue and fix her problems.

I guess she soon found out that the real world doesn't work that way but then she started complaining saying that no one ever helped her. It's not anyone's responsibility. Either she takes the initiative to change her situation or she's lost the right to complain about it. That's just my opinion.

Grown Into A Monster

People who fail to teach their children to consider other people in society and then wonder why their child is unpopular.

A woman I know lets her child do anything she wants...never tells her off. This child is 10 and will get out of the car by FLINGING her door into the car next to it...and then the Mother shrugs.

As she grows, other parents don't want the child to come over to play anymore...because she's hard work, selfish and sly.

She wasn't born that way.

*Stares In Bullied Kid*

The bully who realises they're getting caught and plays the victim card.

axermon

Kid tackled me onto the pavement in 4th grade because he got mad I beat him in some dumb game at recess. We both went to the principal's and I was covered in blood and had to get bandages all over my arms. He started bawling his eyes out and I ended up having to apologize. I didn't know how well the victim card worked until that day.

MrJTwiggs

Basic Abuse

People who treat customer-facing staff like they're nothing more than dirt on the bottom of their shoe. I don't care how bad your day/week/year has been, the moment you think you can use another human being as an emotional punching bag, I have zero sympathy for you.

Crazy Selfish Love

Those brides who make crazy demands on their wedding guests or on the wedding party then end up with only a few people coming to the wedding, or the wedding party bailing on them. Specifying what color you need to wear as guest, or the dollar amount of the gift to be given is one way to narrow down your guest list. Then you have the brides asking the bridesmaids to cut or dye their hair, or get extensions, or induce labor 8 weeks early so they are not pregnant during the wedding.

Inertia Is A Property Of Matter

Drunk drivers.

Also add people who don't wear seat belts because they think they're too cool for them

Crested-Auklet

The thing a lot of people don't realize is that wearing your seat belt helps you maintain control over your own car while breaking hard. It's much easier to steer clear of a possible accident when inertia is throwing your chest into a locked seat belt rather than the steering wheel. Seat belt laws aren't only about protecting yourself.

Plagiarismo

People who take credit for other people's work and call it their own.

I manage a small auto repair shop. I quickly learned that the best way to keep customers happy and still have the techs in my corner was to acknowledge any fault or mistake my techs made with "I" and any success with "We".

The customers appreciate the personal acknowledgement of responsibility. It also keeps them from seeking out the mechanic that often times is still working in the back shop because they may lack the confidence, ability or desire to work face to face with customers.

The mechanics appreciate not having to deal with irate customers (although it's rare) and work even harder to do the job perfectly because they know what I go through in the front office for them.

Lining Up Relationships Like Jobs

People who cheat on others.

If someone can tell me the logic of cheating on the first person without just breaking up with them, I will pay you.

UncommitedRebirth07

They want the fun of sleeping with someone else without losing their partner.

Don't worry about paying me though.

Pups Need Discipline, Too

"Doggy parents" who have dog behavior problems on their hands because they have no authority/structure.

Been dealing with one whose dog bit someone in public. They're acting like the dog's actions weren't "normal" to them and like the dog is an independent entity they have no responsibility for.

Sorry, you deserve the lawsuit. Train your dog and stop "pampering" them with no consistency or structure. End of rant.

AKA, Our World Right Now

Giphy

Leaders of companies that actively fight against technological progress at the expense of the environment and future generations. Also, tobacco companies. Basically, all people whose greed is motivation enough for them to be jerks.

The Unforgivable Curses

Rapists.

Nearly every crime has at least one situation where it's not completely immoral.

Stealing? You could be feeding your family. Murder? That person could have been abusive and it was the only way out.

But rape? There's literally no way to defend a rapist, and I think that once you've raped someone you're shit for life. Not a super controversial opinion but it needs to be said.

No Bullies Allowed

People who hold some kind of power over someone and use that to bully them. Whether it's through physical strength or access to information that could make the victim look bad, if you choose to go after someone for no reason other than it makes you feel big, you are a jerk and deserve the slap Karma's bringing down on you.

Not My Pig Not My Farm

Giphy

The person who decides to, against all logic, argue with the cashier about a problem that is clearly not within their paygrade. I genuinely hated people who seemed to blame me when their meal came out a little overpriced. Like, lady, I'm just reading what the computer is telling me.

The Thing We Should ALL Agree Upon

Anti-Vaxxers, they're some of the most self righteous scumbags I have ever met. They're like this all because some guy made a report that was so stupid it got his medical license revoked for 36 months?!? Like are you kidding me?!?! I thought they were ignorant at most, but them killing their own children because of a bull report is just psychotic.

My Own Soap Opera

If you create drama for yourself, you know what, I'm understanding. At first. Psychology is a thing. I get that.

But if you keep that up even after you've been made aware of it, if you continue to perpetuate messing up your own life because living a good life is something that will take away your all-important sense of martyrdom, if you start drama with other people and then blame them as the bad guys for calling you out on it (that includes pleading "But you know I have issues, so you should tolerate all the stuff I throw at you!"), if you ruin your own opportunities, jobs, friendships, etc. and then act like it's everybody's fault but yours, and just keep doing it, then I'm done. I'll help you stand up if you throw your self down - I will. But not if you do it again after that.

Can You Not Just Overcome It Sweetie? Haha:)

People who belittle depression. The "just look on the bright side of life," or "all I did was smile more" types.

There's plenty of worse people out there I have no sympathy for, but holy flip if those types aren't the most blissfully unaware people out there.

I love unconventional movies and storytellers.

I live for the times when artists and creatives take big chances.

Sometimes those chances pay off and other times... it's a travesty of life.

Yes, I'm dramatic, and so is movie-making!

The WTF aspect.

That is usually born out of big chances.

Whether that moment leaves people thrilled, shocked, or disgusted... that's in the subjectiveness of it all.

It's always a gamble to create.

Many of us find scientific facts fascinating, and for good reason, but like all subjects, there are aspects of scientific study that are positively disturbing and can keep us up late at night.

When asked, Reddit of course had an endless supply of factoids to haunt their fellow Redditors.

Any kind of romantic relationship takes work.

However, not all relationships are built the same. Some have no hope in salvaging a relationship that is never meant to be.

So how do you avoid an eventual heartbreak after so much investment of time?

All of us have found ourselves forced to lie at some point in our lives.

In most cases, it's been just a little white lie that didn't lead to any serious repercussions and may have even spared the feelings of others.

Other people's lies, however, end up causing unexpected ripple effects, making an already bad situation even worse.

Of course, lying is something of a gift, as some people's lies are as clear to detect as the nose on their faces.

While some people are so good at lying, they manage to have everyone fooled for the rest of their lives.

Some of these lies are so spectacular, that they've even earned a place in the history books.
