Step on a crack, break you mother's back. I tell you that phrase has haunted me for decades. It was told to me by an adult who was clearly messing with my head, but the way he made me feel, my body has never forgotten so to this day. I jump over all cracks I see. Just in case. I'm also superstitious. You're welcome, mom. We all have fears that seem irrational, even to our own minds, but we just can't help being held hostage sometimes. Thank God for therapy and vodka.

Unknowingly being severely mentally deficient/ill.
Me too! Sometimes I wonder if I'm developmentally disabled, and everyone around me is just pretending like I'm not.
I have asked this question to a lot of people, about myself. I feel smart, but just different than other people and wonder if they all act like they really like me. I guess I see people treat me differently than I see them treat others. I suspect it's because I'm very personable but could just be my imagination.
A 2 Way Mirror
That time travel will be possible in the future sort of like an exhibit, where people can secretly watch you in a "two way mirror-like" way. When i'm doing weird stuff alone, i always point in a random direction and squint to make the future person think I'm onto them. But then again, they could just be watching me type this comment and know I'm bluffing. commence internal screaming.

Don't Answer
Answering phone calls from unknown number.
I have come to the conclusion that they are 99% advertising campaigns so I simply don't answer. Now I have an irrational fear of losing an important call despite no one would try to contact you only by phone and only once.
Through the Nostrils
Not being able to breathe through my nose.
It's enough to trigger an immediate panic attack especially if I'm asleep.
I even had nose surgery to stop it blocking up, so I wasn't living in a state of high anxiety with panic attacks every night.
Unfortunately the nose surgery recovery went wrong and it got completely blocked for 3 weeks, so now I have a strong fear of hospitals as well.
Inside of Me
Worms.
I'm afraid they'll get inside of me and I'll see them slithering around under my skin.
They're literally my phobia, it was a real struggle last year for my zoology labs, I now know more about worms than I wished.
I have the irrational fear of maggots and worms crawling over me and a few days ago while I was sitting on my couch and got up I literally saw a few maggots crawling where I sat holy crap.
And all of that because my girlfriend cannot stop eating on the couch and gets the food everywhere which attracts these morons.

In the Can
Canned drinks.
True stories of bugs and rodents ending up in canned packaging are bad enough, but I'm also afraid that something has crawled into the can after opening it. It's not like we stare at the drink until we're finished with it, and you can't see the contents. Ugh... gives me chills just thinking about it.

As a "high achieving" student, the biggest mind-blowing fact I have ever learned has been the sheer amount of straight-up lying that happens in formal education.
It's a lot. Like a lot a lot. History class lied so hard.

Wizard Woes
<p>In Wizards of Waverly Place the whole concept of the Family Wizard Competition is super f*cked up and immoral. </p><p>Basically when all the children of a family come of age they compete to see who's the best wizard, and the ones who lose are stripped of their powers. Imagine if we have our kids take a vision test and blinded the ones who fail.</p><p>Anyways there was a recurring character who was friends with the main cast who was later revealed to be leading a revolution to overthrow this system. The entire main cast labels her as evil, puts a stop to her plan, and then literally murders her at the end.</p><p>More specifically what happened was that they froze her solid to hold her in place while they transferred her powers. Then the village idiot came and knocked her over by accident, shattering her into pieces. Threat To Society
<p>In the 4th season of Winx Club, the main characters get a new power up, the Believix, and it is a mess. They each get a new power to use at their own discretion. Here is a quick description of what these powers let them do:</p><ul><li>Strength of Life (Bloom): It lets her make people believe in magic and help them overcome their weaknesses. She decides what qualifies as a weakness. She overrides a person's free will to make them believe in magic, which just so happens to make the girls stronger, and rewrite their personality if she doesn't like it.</li><li>Dawn of Light (Stella): It lets her make people more cooperative and accepting. Basically, she overrides another person's free will so they do what she says.</li><li>Breath of the World (Flora): It lets her make people show more appreciation for nature. Nice on paper, but it basically makes people ignore potentially more important tasks, or forego certain technologies, in favor of nature.</li></ul><div class="ad-tag" data-ad-name="In_Content_Responsive_7" style="min-height:280px"></div>

<ul><li>Bright Heart (Musa): This is actually the most normal, because aside from the usual of making people believe in magic, its only other effect is to convince people that they can change.</li><li>Gem of Mind (Tecna): To quote the official description of this ability: "She can use it to make people think correctly..." I think that's enough info. She decides how people should think, and magically imposes that way of thinking onto them.</li><li>Spirit of Courage (Aisha): This is also very basic, the same as the first one with the added bonus of making people braver, but one use in particular rubbed me the wrong way. In one scene, she made a girl walk through a wall of fire to escape a burning building. The girl with water magic, just made a girl walk through fire. The girl with water magic whose best friend is on the way to becoming an insufferable Mary Sue, and whose fire magic can extinguish any flame with a snap of her fingers. There was literally no need to endanger that girl like that. They had two people on scene who could have not only saved the building, but also all six of them could have repaired it with magic.</li></ul><p>Overall, those girls are a threat to society. They're emotionally unstable, have 0 coping mechanisms for when they get sad, and are basically demigods. It starts in S1. Bloom impersonates a foreign dignitary to sneak into an elite school. And Stella just brings random people to the magic dimension.</p><p>Also, at one point she used magic to disguise herself as a street cleaner, don't remember the context, but she then turned Bloom into a broom.</p><p>Musa once saw her boyfriend with another woman, and she just ran away crying like a kid. Businesses have to turn a profit to be able to stay operational. We get it. A consumer is paying more than it costs to make the product to purchase the product. The upside of accepting this fact should be we're being provided a service and experience we couldn't possibly get on our own. However, there are those products that are overcharged, especially compared to the development costs, that are charged a high price for what feels like no reason outside of making a ridiculous amount of money.
