After his Emmy win two years ago, comedian Patton Oswalt went viral with a photo of himself sitting alone outside an Arby's with his new trophy. At the time, he was still coping with the recent death of his wife, which left him in no mood to go to a big Emmys party. This year, however, Oswalt posted a follow-up tweet showing that life really does have its ups and downs; there are dark times, yes, but they turn around.

Thousands of people retweeted Oswalt's picture outside the Arby's.

But when he returned, he was with his new wife, Meredith Salenger.

Arby's was so glad to see Oswalt happy that they made a special sandwich just for the couple!

Fans were taken aback by the strange but delicious tribute.

Eating one's own face would be a...unique experience.

Fans were ready to chow down on an Oswalt-Salenger combo, which is totally normal. No need to question it.

It seems things have really turned around for Oswalt!

Of course, many fans wanted to be turned into sandwiches themselves...

Those who have followed Oswalt since his wife's death see this as a new beginning for the for self-deprecating comedian.

But wait...

ARBY'S HAS GYROS?!

Head to Arby's and pick up your gyro today! And congrats to Oswalt and Salenger on being the cutest couple at the Emmys!

We are not guaranteed to stay with one person forever, as we were reminded once Redditor disturbance of mirrors asked the online community,

"People whose long-term relationship faded, what was the final straw that made you realize it was time to call it a day?"

There is always that "one." There is always going to be that person.

That person who you will always remember. And when they are the one who you regret losing most... they are the ghost that will haunt you forever.

I have a few escapees. I'll never know how it would've turned out. But that is part of why I'm haunted. I need to discuss....

Redditor u/AssistantNo1733 wanted to discuss all the times we've lost in love by asking:

Who's the one who got away?
