Combos are great - no I don't mean the snack, though those are delicious AF also. I mean the magic that happens when you take 2 things and put them together. Peanut butter was delicious, but meeting jelly was a serious upgrade. Punches are fantastic, but you totally get more points for a punch/kick combo. See where I'm going with this? Combos are a total Ciara-style level up.

One Reddit user asked:

What are some underrated combinations?

Now, I'm gonna be real with you. Most of this is about food - so if you're hungry maybe have a snack before you go in on this one. There are some seriously tempting ideas happening here. Some of these have been edited for clarity where needed.

No Tinnitus Is The Best Tinnitus

Ear plugs and live music

They really don't detract from the experience once you get used to them and you won't get tinnitus. Let me tell you, you really don't want tinnitus.

Shower Beer

A hot shower with a cold beer.

Drink it during the shower. If you had a really long day, take 2 or 3 with you. Not sure why, but it's the most relaxing thing ever. The shower beer is a deeply religious event.

Waffles

Peanut butter on waffles. As a kid my mom couldn't keep enough frozen waffles and peanut butter in the house, two days after a trip to the grocery store my brother and I would be looking for more.

The Roadtrip Soundtrack

Giphy

Music and long car rides. Can't underestimate the importance of a good song while taking a trip.

All Cylinders

Duuuuude, jalapeño jelly and cream cheese on a Wheat Thin is like sex! It hits all cylinders; creamy, savory, salty, crunchy, sweet, spicy. It's perfect.

Shh

Shutting the f*ck up and listening.

Try it. It's life changing.

Bubbly Juice

Everyone thought I was weird for months at my job for this, but I'd mix cranberry juice and orange juice with sprite and it was absolutely delicious. People said it sounded disgusting but all of a sudden nowadays everyone is drinking it or asking me to make them one. Another personal favorite is strawberry kiwi juice and apple juice mixed with sprite. The key is to only put enough sprite for some bubbles, that's it.

Blueberry coffee

I'm from Long Island and we drink more 7-11 coffee than the entire state of California. That's where I first discovered the flavour a while back. I wrote it off as blasphemy for years until I got the balls to try it. One of my steady favourites. The blueberry taste isn't overpowering and mixes well with the light roast. Put a little more milk in than usual and it tastes like you're drinking a warm blueberry Pop Tart.

Day Off

A nice warm house, a snowstorm outside, and the knowledge that you have the next day off.

Seems Counter-intuitive, But...

Coffee and a nap.A Napuccino.

Slam a coffee and take a 20-30 minute nap/rest (no more than 30 mins). It allows your veins to dilate and absorb the caffeine more efficiently, making you more energized upon getting up!

Remember the Dreamcast? If you don't, then you've been missing out. Sit down, sweet summer child, and listen up.

The Dreamcast was a console so ahead of its time that console has been a Dreamcast since there was a Dreamcast. Too advanced to match its competitors, not appealing enough to be considered part of the next generation. I have fond memories of that console. Crazy Taxi was a gem.

Not everything comes out at the right time. We heard about a few other examples after Redditor rentinghappiness asked the online community,

"In your opinion, what’s something that flopped because it was way ahead of its time?"

Consumers who have money to burn often buy things they don't really need, like travel accessories, specialized sports equipment for an activity they've only done once, or even cookbooks, when plenty of recipes can be found online.

You know, try as I might, I just can't bring myself to bother with The Walking Dead. I quit the show some years ago, probably around the time of that weird fakeout with Glen in the dumpster (and then his actual death right after that), but the truth is that the show was getting on my nerves for some time before that.

Did anyone actually care about all the nonsense going on with Deanna and the citizens of Alexandria? And can we go back a bit further and talk about how ludicrous Beth's death at the hands of some power-tripping officer in a hospital ward was? There was such a noticeable drop in quality after the third season that I questioned why I kept tuning in.

But this show is far from the only one to make people want to throw their remotes at their television screens. People shared their thoughts with us after Redditor regian24 asked the online community,

"What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on?"

People Break Down Which Professions Hollywood Gets Completely Wrong
Photo by Danial Igdery on Unsplash

More often than not, what gets us to keep tuning in to our favorite TV shows, or drawn to certain movies, is to get a glimpse into various professions which fascinate us, but which we wouldn't ever want to work ourselves.

Needless to say, there aren't many people who find the Indiana Jones films to be a remotely accurate depiction of archaeology, or that the Jurassic Park films show what paleontology is really like.

But many people tend to watch iconic procedurals like Grey's Anatomy and Law & Order under the notion that they both give an accurate depiction of the medical field and the legal world.

Only, how accurate are they?

Redditor Just_Surround_2108 was curious to learn which professions have been documented on screen without as much research as one might expect, leading them to ask:

"What profession does Hollywood get completely wrong in films and TV?"
